  • does the car pass bring any new achievements, anyone know?

    • My guess is, probably not, since it's only extra cars, unlike an expansion or other DLC. But that's just a guess.

But who knows, maybe some achievements are only possible (or easier) with cars in the Car Pass?

      • in they past they would add chevos for owning or driving x number of porsches (when porsche was a late DLC) etc so i wouldnt be surprised, just not sure about this game in particular

    • +1

No. No DLC achievements with this Forza.

  • …and if it matters to anyone both Ultimate and Car Pass exclude the "Formula Drift Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pack" DLC.

    • Yep. But it comes free with digital preorders of Forza Horizon 4. A bit weird really.

  • I'm trying this on gamepass atm, seems to be littered with microtransactions and cards. Does anyone here have alot of hours in this, is it worth a buy?

    • +2

The 'microtransactions' are all in game currency payments. (Unless you are talking VIP DLC and DLC car packs)

If you like track racing it's great. Not the most simmy title out there but can do a pretty decent job. Fairly large solo campaign with showcase events. Forza games are pretty easy to progress through (especially if you have a forza loyalty https://rewards.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/). i.e. you can save up for new cars crazy quick compared something like NFS or the crew. Multiplayer is ok, bit of a learning curve with acquiring the best tunes/cars for the track - I don't play MP too much

yeah i just upgraded my sim rig, i love forza horizon 4 (over 700 hours), haven't dabbled in motorsport since 4 probably cause i switched to PC back then. I just picked it up anyhow thanks for your reply :)

Oh and the microstractions i didnt mean DLC i'll hapily pay for expansions or car passes but more the "card and loot quality cr@p". $40 seems very decent for all of this and i love racing on nurburgring and bathurst :)

  • I've put a lot of hours into this game and enjoyed the driving immensly with a quality wheel / pedal setup. If you want the feel of belting a V8 Supercar around Bathurst then you'll love Forza Motorsport 7.

I bought into the Standard Edition which has hundreds of cars to select from, at $24.97 it's a lot of game for the money. The extra car packs really aren't worth the $$ they want.

What is worth it and would have made the game less grindy for me was the double credits earned via the VIP pack included with Ultimate. If I could go back to the start I'd gladly pay the extra $20 or so currently being asked above the Standard Edition.

Thanks for your feedback i just picked it up, I play alot of PC2 and Horizon 4 and thought i'd give this a crack, I couldnt justify the $140 at launch this is a way better deal. Motorsport definetly has the most detailed bathurst out of the sim racers out there imo.

If you want, theres a glitch where you can get like 10mil in 20 minutes. It's not bannable as they don't update the game anymore. Search "forza motorsport 7 money glitch" on YouTube and go on the video by the channel "ADDY HD" (should say november 2020 in title, but still works). I'm not associated with that channel, just helped me.

I understand not wanting to do it, but it makes it way less grindy without VIP.

I redeemed those forza hub rewards @ lvl 9 for years now, I've spent the last hour collecting them from my messages in game, up to 35mil so far :) Glitches aren't really my thing, 30k per race with VIP seems decent. FH4 i have over 250mil with all cars unlocked so i'm not worried.

        • All good. Yeah Forza Hub is good, found it a few years after playing, got a lot of credits.

  • Waiting for a new forza with ray tracing.

    • This year is going to be insane for racing games between GT7 and FM i don't know which one to be more excited for. I guess FM cause its on PC :D

  • Also Forza 7 standard edition for $24.97

    • I think it's on Game Pass too.

  • Game size 928MB. Doesn't seem right?? Could almost come on a CD-ROM!

    • Doesn't seem right indeed.

I laugh at that total inaccuracy in the product details. Look at this. And this was at the release version from 2017 and would have been just the standard version. Back then it was at 100GB in size. The Ultimate edition is an even larger download having all the extra DLC.

Hope you all have fast broadband internet and an unlimited data cap.

    • I actually downloaded the normal version for a free trial yesterday. 99gb.

    • Lol, yeah, it's 118.4 GB on my Xbox One X console.

  • Even if you don't get the Ultimate version, don't forget to pick up all the dozens of cars available for "free" in the "add ons" section for this game.

I find it's easier to find them all in the console itself (in the store).

Note: some are "free" some are "free with Game Pass".

Ps. Forza Horizon 4 is having a sale on too, if that's more your game.

For example, I think the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Add On Bundle is pretty good value at $29.98 (60% off)
