Based on some recent research, I thought these deals were worth sharing. Good for those who need Windows 10 Pro. Free delivery included.

Vostro 14 - i7-1165G7, 16GB, 512GB NVMe SSD, Backlit KB, GeForce® MX330, Win 10 Pro, 14" FHD, 1.4kg - $1,209.92
Vostro 15 - i7-1165G7, 8GB, 512GB NVMe SSD, GeForce® MX330, Win 10 Pro, 15.6" FHD - $1,045.31 (this model has fast shipping)

If you don't need 16GB RAM, dedicated graphics or 512GB storage, but want portability and fast shipping, this model is worth looking at:
Vostro 14 - i7-1165G7, 8GB, 256GB NVMe SSD, Backlit KB, GeForce® MX330, Win 10 Pro, 14" FHD, 1.4kg - $1,117.85 (this model has fast shipping)

Apparently the MX330 is not much of an improvement on the integrated graphics of this CPU.

  • Any details on the display - nits, etc?

    • A brilliant FHD panel (up to 220 nits)

This vostro range is the basic of basics. Wouldn't expect anything out of them.

  • Your three links are all identical?

      Oops. Thanks, fixed.

  • Any idea, how heavy these laptops are?

    • It's in the specs. 1.4kg for the 14-inch and 1.8kg for the 15.6-incher.

  • Does any one know if the Vostro line has an over heating problem? I purchased an Inspiron 3505 during a recent Dell special but had to return it because it got so hot, it was impossible to use it on my lap. This was very disappointing because it was very fast, light and had a bright screen.

Poor screen and not particularly cheap. One of the Lenovo ideapad S540 options would be much better if you can wait 3 or 4 weeks for delivery.

    • I had to look exclusively for machines with Win10 pro, which makes it more costly. The 14 " is light though.

      • Cant you just upgrade to windows 10 pro? Depending on the method you can even get free keys (legally) through your work or azure.

        • If your work has an enterprise agreement with Microsoft, then yes.
But as a general rule, Microsoft does not hand out free keys to be used for commercial purposes. It would not be a helpful business model.

          • @Make it so: Moreso i mean if your work requires windows 10 pro theyll often give out keys. Otherwise you can always buy a dodgy key off ebay for $8 or whatever.

  • Is there much improvements between the i7-1165G7 vs the i7-10510u?

    • From what I understand, the integrated graphics in the 11th gen are very good, exceeding some (low-end) dedicated graphics cards.
