For those that prefer mobile hopping. Basically a free SIM.

Terms

  • Limited strictly to the first 2000 mobile services (redemptions), and one per Cashrewards member. Offer expires when (1) cap is reached (sold out), (2) withdrawn by amaysim, or (3) 11:59pm AEDT 28/02/21 (whichever occurs first). When the offer is over, the cashback rate will revert to $4.20 for this SIM.
  • New mobile services only - not available for existing mobile numbers.
    You must click through the offer on Cashrewards. Do not exit amaysim's site until your purchase is complete.
  • Offer applies only to the $12 Unlimited 2GB mobile SIM for $6 (Feb promo). You will receive the SIM in 2-10 business days, which must be activated within 30 days of purchase, or cashback is forfeited.

            I used the $5 browser extension on something else. (And was too slow to make a decision on the sim deal.)
            Sometimes a $200 decision is made in seconds, and a $6 decision takes me 10minutes to consider.

    There is one thing i like Amaysim, if you start a new phone number for kids or someone. Amaysim let you choose 4 numbers, some of them are free. They have a lot of phone numbers to choose from. Especially it is free now.

    I bought over 20 circle life 1month plan sim cards and couple of long term ones last year here through ozb but didnt even use half of it haha. Couldnt find use for it.

    Amaysim have "upgraded" some software overnight, and now it is impossible to Verify your ID using their DVS Verification System.

    I have used both my Drivers Licence, Medicare card and Passport and none of them worked.

    Yet all of them work correctly to Activate a new Telstra and Optus Prepaid SIM. And Amaysim's ID DVS verification service definately worked last week, when I verified and activated my SIM.

    This is my 6th service with Amaysim, so I know what I am doing.

    The only way to verify, until they fix it, is via a Credit Card. :(

    Wouldn't it be better to use 'Refer a friend'? Your friend/famlily member will get $10 credit, you will get $10 credit.
    Then you can use your credit for the next renewal so you will need to add only $2. This will make it only $8 for 2 months service.
    And of course your family/friend will get $10.

      Tracking was instant, and is already approved and in available balance now.
      (Somehow my sim came already activated, so not sure what I did wrong … I only have 21 days of service left)

    Luckily this was free, the sim arrived today and I go online and see that 1/3 of my plan is already gone.
    Suppose you take the most expensive plan, then it arrives and you realize 1/3 was "used" during the shipping time…

    Is there a way to order this and not have it active during the shipping?
    (Should I have waited to complete the identity verification or so?)

      It should reset the start date (probably tomorrow) after you start using the SIM, so you get the full 28 days. If not, you can contact support to have it reset.

      Buying with CC will activate the SIM automatically. To avoid this, buy using PayPal and don't verify ID. Or another option is specify you are porting a number. You can still change it to get a new number when you activate the SIM.

        I received SMS when start date was automatically reset. And another message if I renew next month
        "We've automatically extended your existing $6 discount for another 3 renewals since your discount on your first month is almost up."

    Yeah, nah Amaysim.

    I checked and it all tracked in cashrewards. That's two dodgy deals from Amaysim now (the other with shopback). Looks like Amaysim is the culprit.

        Phone support say the 2 Sims they sent out are just $2 sims and have no credit on them. Have you activated yours. Never had issues before, but the two sims I bought in seperate cashrewards promos are now apparently blank sims at their end. So won't activate unless I pay the full recharge amount again. Dodgy.

            @Paul B: Same, ie. this deal on the 24th. Took over 2 months for them to send out the sim. My $6 cashback tracked at least, but it has no plan attached to it. I also had a $10 1.5gb older sim. But they just say they are both $2 blank sims! I'll just report it to the TIO in case they have done the same to a few thousand other people.

            Just wanted to know if anyone else has had their cashback track, but have a useless sim.

                @Paul B: Well, Amaysim management emailed me and said they aren't willing to fullfill this promotion and are giving me my $6 back via a BSB transfer. You would think it would be easier and beneficial to them to just sign me up on a 2gb plan for 28 days .. apparently not.
