That is correct, prices went up around July 2020 to that half price of $3.95 that we see now. Before that it was generally $3.75 (half price) and has been like that since about 2013 so pretty good to have lasted so long.

Correct, that was when you see the odd $4 off $7.50 deal to make it $3.50. That is why I specifically mentioned Half Price in my comment. If you have a look at the OzBargain history you can see the price changes and the odd $3.50 (not 50% off) special at places like Drakes (wherever that is) and so on.
naw they could be had for $ 2. way back and less
Just in time for me to stock up again. We like the Mozzarella ones. We top it off with blanched asparagus and broccolini with capsicum, mushroom and ham. They make a good base for pimped up pizzas.
