  • Um lmao, 5600x with a 3060

    And 3060 gaming x is a 2 fan model not 3🤔

    • wops, yes, you are right, updating now.

      • Might also need to update the GPU option, currently it gives the choice to upgrade to a 3060Ti.

    • I was thinking this too. Its interesting as better processors are in fact needed if your planning to push lower end cards in 1080p.

Which also makes it far far better to just put that additional money into a better GPU and cheaping on other components for better gaming performance.

Unless CPU intensive work is literally your job/livelihood and you need to shave those times off your processing tasks for productivity getting a 500, or even 300 dollar CPU is overkill. ( average user thinks productivity means being able to browse ozbargain and watch YouTube at the same time ha!!)

Purely from a gaming perspective - a 3080 coupled with an i3 10100 is going to give you huge fps boosts at 1440p vs 3070 being pushed along by a 5600x despite being similar price points.

Did crypto make everything expensive again? What a joke. Might sell my old 1060 for 600 if thats the case.

    • Used RX 580s are going for $400+ on eBay, it's wild

      • How much do you think I could get for a 1080ti ftw3? thinking of going back to my old 1070 until the next cards release.

        • +1

$800 - just watched a few sell on ebay over the weekend.

Comment above confirms - "its wild"

        • do it dude, the cards are selling like hotcakes. Once 3060ti-3080 stock stabilizes the 1080 ti prices will drop again so I'd get in sooner than later if you can survive on a 1070 for a couple of months.

      • Christ, i can sell my 6GB 1060 for what i paid for years ago and cover my money!!!

edit: wow my 2060 is worth more than i paid!

    • Anything over 4gb = mining boom tax. There are the odd bargains around, found a bargain GTX 1080 in CashConverters of all places, but most places don't have anything to sell you let alone inflated priced models.

  • Any chance we can upgrade the Virco V436a to a rtx 3070?

    • sorry, not for V436a build.

  • So the 3080 is ready to ship or is it on back order

    • ready for assemble

      • Thanks, so if I order today, I will get it by 22 march?

        • that is only apply to the V model of the build. (V436a)

For any other model (including F518a MPG, we would dispatch the build within 2 working days.

          • @virco: ok kool. Thanks. Will order then.

    • I'm also interested in the 3080 but honestly at that price you are getting ripped off even with current price situations.
With current inflated prices it would come to a total of $2850 and they are charging $3326. A $476 markup on top of the inflated prices already. Not worth it.

  • "currently the stock of RTX3060 12GB are amazingly stable"

Currently the RTX 3060, actually, all GPU models but especially the 3060 12GB as if its stock supply is stable, are amazingly overpriced.

Sorry OP I know you are also a victim, but I couldn't control the frustration and took a jab at it.

    • Fully understand, that's why we offered V model of the build, where everybody gathering the funds, and we try our best to push down the price and offer the best price possible.

      • It would be nice if the budget case option was not an aquarium designed to murder PC components from overheating. Granted it may be sufficient for a 3600/3060 combo using negative pressure.

  • Any chance of offering the 436a with some gpu upgrades? (3060ti, 3070, 3080?)

    Thanks.

    • with V436a, GPU cannot be alter

      • Fair enough, it has the best value parts for a good gaming machine. Bummer

  • can systems be ordered without assembly ?

    • yes, but one year labour warranty would be waived. Warranty from original manufacture would still apply.

      • thats fair

      • How do we request this? Just a comment with the order to ship unassembled ?

        • after proceed with the order, please email to [email protected] regarding to the request.

  • Hi,

I notice some builds with the rtx 3060ti have a thermaltake v150 tempered glass case, any chance of getting the new v150 mesh front panel anytime soon?

    https://www.virco.com.au/products/virco-a416ta-desktop-pc-am…

    https://www.thermaltake.com/v150-tempered-glass-argb-breeze-…

    • Sorry, currently there is no schedule for stock in mash front with V150

  • Where is the upgrade option for 3 fan gpu on V436a?

    • option to 3 Fan GPU upgrade is up.

  • 5600X with a 3060 non-ti is a laugh.
Any reseller who tries to peddle this nonsense is just pandering to the marketing bs. Not what I'd expect from Virco - as I assume people are trusting you to provide some sort of value proposition in your builds.

    • I would think most people would use the downgrade to 3600 option? Unless of course they are thinking of buying a 3080 as soon as they can.

      • If they needed a GPU as a stop gap prior to getting a higher-tier card, it makes much more sense to get a second hand 2060 Super. Makes no sense at all paying inflated pricing for the disappointing performance of a 3060.

        • 20x0 cards are over priced right now. Buying them at high prices are not a great idea. Who is going to buy 20x0 cards when 30x0 stock stabilises? The resale of 20x0 is going to be hard when 30 series is readily available.

          • +1

@g1: No one is going to buy the 3060, regardless of ready stock or not.

            It's a sh*t card and a pisstake by NVIDIA.

V436a is a pretty good deal. Upgrade to 3 fan 3060Ti (only $60), upgrade to Corsair 750 PSU, consider upgrading to B550 MB, and consider upgrading RAM to 3600MHz. Overall the price ends up being pretty good.

    • Good thing you raised that up. That does seem like a reasonably good deal for an upgrade. $60 extra for a 3 fan 3060ti would do nicely.

Edit:Just noticed that they state the 3060ti to be 16GB. Likely an error and just meant a regular 3060 not a 3060ti.

      • all fixed, it's 3060 12GB 3 fan version, sorry about confusion.

    • 16GB doesn't exist, it's 3060 12GB 3 fan version, sorry about confusion.

  • Option for 3070?

    • not for these builds.

      • That's a real shame. So the option of extra fans is if you were to have the stock cooler to be mounted ontop?

  • Is the $60 graphics card upgrade for the Virco V436a build a 3060ti or just a 3060?

    • just 3060, not the Ti version

    • Lol got tempted they might honour the mix up. But the dodgy checkout didn't show the upgrade and figured they would cancel it if anyone jumped on it.

      Back to bad value haha.

      • Ahhhh yep not worth it again.

        • The 3060 is such an unappealing card, even in a 1300 dollar system, coupled with the fact that there have been several sub $1500 3070 builds from techfast recently.

  • Very good options, unfortunately, the lack of full mesh front cases is a deal breaker for me. :(

    • Thermaltake G33?

      • Very tempting!

        • which system you like to have? F536a or V436a?

          • @virco: F536a is mesh front

V436a can be upgrade to Thermaltake G33, +$30
