  • I really don't like the look of the stand but anybody owned it can confirm the width of the stand because I have limited desk space.

      • It's like a triangle stand, so the 345mm is one length of the triangle if that makes sense?

        • I don't own that TV and I'm not sure if you're asking or confirming, but I believe it's as straightforward as the stand forms a rectangular 898×345 on the table.

I think you were confirming, from your another comment.

I love this TV, full array, only cos I see is the stand, It fight with my soundbar for spacing.

    • Yeh it's because it has a built in atmos sound bar

      • built in atmos sound bar

        • plus, how is the smart features? Or just use Google TV Chromecast? eARC to surround amp?
        • +1

It's not android so that is one criticism. Doesn't really faze me because I use external source - ie Chromecast, PS4/5 for content.

    • You can buy stands for cabinets that then screw into the mount - ie https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/kogan-swivel-tabletop-st…
      That's just one example.

  • Replaced my stand with one I found on amazon to give me space for a proper soundbar

  • After I purchase via ebay and collect it in person (so after I C&C'ed) and test/watch it for a week or so and decide it's not up to scratch, can this be returned to the store?

    • What is the problem? calibrate yet?

      • -1

        No problem yet.

If I decide it's not up to scratch

    • +1

Not easily…. If you can watch on it then there is no problem so it becomes a change of mind return and they will say no 99% of the time

      • Thanks. So saying "quality not up to expectations" won't be honoured?

saying "quality not up to expectations" won't be honoured?

          I don't think so.

        • +1

No. Even if there was things like banding or bleed it will still need tk go through thr manufacturers for a repair, replacement or refund. Retailer is no longer a point of contact. Retailer would be if it's like damaged and only after a day or so, not a week

  • I’m so on the fence with this tv deal . I have an old 65 3300uw 4K series hisense and would love the pq upgrade. But I see a Xbox series x in my future so the hdmi 2.1 and also the inbuilt chromecast side of the 2021 hisense range appeals to me. The hisense smart software well it’s not quite there and adding a mibox or cc consumes an extra hdmi port. Kodi is a must for me. I already have an ozbargain approved ats1080 soundbar at so the q8s in built bar seems like a waste.

Also my old hisense 65 is a little too big for my second tv room and I’ll have to raise the wall bracket…

The 70s5 is available on the same good guys deal at $930 or less. Which is good as well.

I’ve written this deal off, but I can’t get it out of my brain.

    1st world ozbargain deal problems!

    • From what you're saying, that TV is not for you.

      Get over it.

      • Thanks. Sage advice.

  • How is this TV for gaming? My Sony Bravia just blew out (because of a blackout I think…), so am looking for a replacement

  • Thanks OP, good price.

  • Was waiting for this to go sub $1500.

Heard the news that the new 2021 Hisense TVs are coming out with in-built Chromecast plus HDMI 2.1 support.. but I've been waiting so long for a deal like this and considering the extra year I'll have to wait for the '21 models to start coming down, I pulled the trigger.

    Thanks OP!

    • +3

but I've been waiting so long

Technology is a never ending waiting game.

      • Equally frustrating and exciting.

        Mostly frustrating as an ozbargainer.
