OzReminder for those who may not be familiar with this hack. Thank you for the original post Ulysses31. Here are some steps to setup a Turkish or Argentinian Netflix account to save $$$. Results may vary so its best to read up, there are plenty of comments below and members happy to help. Unfortunately it may not work for everyone so please keep that in mind.

Step 1: Please understand that following all these steps may not work for you

There is no need for aggression in instances where you are unable to subscribe to an international Netflix account. Share your experience so everyone can chip in and help out. There are plenty of examples where hacks shared on this platform do not work for some people, but may work for others:
* Modem reset for faster internet,
* Cash back program purchase tracking,
* Price matching an unobtainable deal or price error,
* Targeted bargains, and
* Limited quantity items quickly or instant (bot) sellout.
Similarly we know there are cash back users who follow every single step for cash back (turn off ad blocker, have no items in cart, do not click other links, etc.) on their purchases and it does not work, its probably best to move on.There are many users who successfully use this hack and enjoy paying half the price of the Australian membership. Unfortunately there are also many users who have been unable to sign up to Netflix Turkey or Argentina. After all it is intended for people who reside in Turkey or Argentina. Q My bank blocked my payment, what do I do?
A Some banks block 1st attempt and then text to confirm it's you. Once you reply, 2nd attempt may work.

Q I have an existing Netflix subscription, can I use the same email?

Q Do I need to use a VPN every time I access Netflix?
A No, VPN is only required for sign up. After sign up, use Netflix without a VPN and you will have access to the Australian Netflix library.

    Had existing Arg account with phone and cc that had lapsed quite a while.
    Used Windscribe VPN Turkey.
    Logged into Netflix site via Chrome Incognito.
    Selected the plan, confirmed my phone no, and cc.
    Voila.

    I had issues many months ago with using my cards on Turkey, I bought two gift cards and havnt had to worry for almost a year , will have to buy a number of cards and be in credit for 1-2 years lol.
    However shared my account with friends overseas and they were unable to use the account seems that Turkish accounts are blocked in countries like Dubai etc there are a few threads on Reddit about it

    This is my procedure to move my account from Argentina to Turkey.

    1) Cancel the membership with Netflix Argentina. Wait for the membership to expire.
    2) Use Winscribe VPN to Turkey.
    3) Buy Netflix Turkish gift card from G2A.
    4) Restart membership with Netflix Turkey using the gift card.
    5) Contact Netflix livechat, and ask them to enter the details of your prefer credit card as backup.

    Tried to change over to Turkey from Argentina but didn't work. My transfer wise was not accepted for some reason. I have used all vpn listed (from step 2)

    Also tried to change to Brazil but failed on phone confirmation. I have my phone number in my account but it keep trying to verify me

    So i end up going back to Argentina.

      Have you tried flushing your dns and deleting your cache and cookies. Then running VPN to turkey and then using your browser in private?

          Yes, I was frustrated with all the other methods, and wanted to go back to Argentina. But the key to get it working is to get Turkish gift card. The membership restarted instantly with Netflix Turkey, Then just a matter of asking them to enter your prefer credit card manually via live chat.

    So I just cancel my current Argentina membership. Its was expired today.

    Then I just use the VPN to Turkey, restart my membership and now I'm on Turkey plan. No need to update mobile/credit card because it already on account.

    Its charge me $8.58 for the Premium plan.

        Yeah, I don’t need to do any update to phone/card because it’s already on my account.

        The only thing I need to do is click button Restart my Membership. And because I’m on Turkey, the plan showed price on Turkey.

    I was able to sign up to Turkey account using my former australian one, but a family member that is outside Australia, using this account, is getting an error that the service cannot be used from that location. Any ideas why?

      what plan is it. only the higher plans are meant to be shared and netflix is blocking people from sharing the standard plan as it is only meant to be for 1 person

        I'm on the ultimate plan. It's weird, i checked other places around the web (e.g. reddit) and other people are having the same issue with Turkey netflix. People in the US can access a turkey netflix account, while other in some specific countries in south america can't. Maybe this trick won't work in australia in the future

    I've just signed up with a new account via the gift card method and created the account successfully. However I'm having issues adding on my 28 degrees card as a backup payment, keeps saying it can't continue. When I talked to netflix live chat, they just said my bank was refusing the transaction and I had to speak to them to get it authorised. Anyone else managed to add on their 28 degrees card?

      Not sure how other people have managed to get live chat to add their card. I've tried 3 different reps and they've told me they can't add my card from their end. Checked with 28 degrees support and they aren't blocking any transactions, so not sure. Might just have to go with the gift card option.

    Just tried signing up for a new account (my existing account doesn't expire until next month). With Getflix VPN (and 28 degreees) on phone, I can get past the payment screen, however it asks for a Turkish phone number. Obviously that is a no go. I will retry with my existing account next month.

    Trying to skip it doesn't work anymore by the looks. If you go back to the account it has a button to "finish sign up", it won't let you access the library.

    Managed to subscribe with gift card from MTC Game.
    Used the free Urban VPN chrome extension. Need to ensure to enable for anonymous browsing, and must disable the blocking of ads, because otherwise the Google Captcha will not load and you cannot redeem the gift card.

    Does anyone know if I can now add a credit card through the Australian site, or do I need to get onto chat to do this? My credit card was not accepted during signup, hence the gift card approach.

      I've had issues adding my card as well. I've tried to get different chat reps to add my card but they insist they can't do it from their end. Read a suggestion that it may let you add the card once your account is about to expire, so will try that. Otherwise I'll go the gift card route.

          The link from the reps was exactly the same, they just try to process it and it doesn't work. And I'm at the end of my subscription period that I previously prepaid with gift cards.
          I only have three days left and still won't let me pay with mastercard credit card or debit card.

          Can I ask what you said to them? I can't get any of the reps to send me the form via the live chat. They just tell me to try a different card or buy gift cards. Also were you connected via VPN when you chatted to them?

          I just gave it another shot and got a rep that would send me the form. Added in my 28 degrees details and all good, now added to the account!

              @Make it so: Yeah I must have just had some bad reps. Talked to 10 of them previous to this one and they all told me we can't add your card on, use a different card or buy a gift card. Glad I've got it sorted now, although the card is due to expire in October so will have to re-add the new card on when I get that I suppose.

              The rep tried to give me a link to pay which didn't work, but then gave me the internal credit card process (which I had previously tried through other chat sessions on and off VPN), this worked for my 28 Degrees card…

              I opened the Netflix app on my mobile, chose the Help and Support, then Chat, said I would like to add a backup payment method in case I ran out of gift cards or didn't get one in time. She popped up the entry form and it worked.

    I did this recently via Turkey.
    You need to use gift card when setting up new account and then as many others have said you need to chat and then enter your card details via the secure form to add your CC to your account.

    I successfully signed up a Turkey plan a few months ago with a Citibank. However the debit card expires and I couldn't update the payment details since.

    Live chat just direct me to link netflix/payment (is it the same thing as secure form? ) but I cannot get it working with or without VPN.

    So far I've created new account (Vpn to Turkey of course), choose plan and I choose gift card as payment method
    Problem is when I'm putting in the giftcard code, I get the error - "sorry, we are unable to process your request". (got the giftcard via MTCgame) and (capcha is enabled)
    Any advice?

    Unfortunately, both Netflix Turkey and Netflix Argentina now require a contact mobile no. for them to send a verification code. They didn't let me to watch anything unless a mobile no is provided and verified. They even sent follow-up emails to me asking me to finish off the sign-up process. I gave up. There is too much trouble.
    I don't recommend using Windscribe VPN. My experiences with them were awful. The speed was extremely slow. I contacted them and I was told not to use my anti-virus software. But this didn't improve the speed. Not only that, there were dropouts during the connections. When that happened, I was exposed and not protected by anti-virus software. Something very strange also happened. After I signed out from Windscribe, Google alerted me that there were frequent traffics from my computer. So beware.

    Success this morning.

    Let my existing account expire (cancelled a few weeks ago).

    Tried with PureVPN, but netflix website wouldn't even load. Tried Argentina, showed Swedish details. IPs were showing in for the correct countries.

    Tried free Urban VPN, worked straight away. Changed to Turkey.

    Cards and phone number were already loaded on the expired account, so worked with my ING Direct card.

    I set up a Turkish acct 2 mths ago using free Hola VPN and gift cards. It expired yesterday but I could not add my 28degrees card via the website. Requested the secure form via chat and went through fine. Lots of questions from the rep first though, like the exact date I started my account etc. Anyway, payment went straight thru once submitted and account is back on.

        Signup & verify from Australia first. Then cancel, wait until expired and use VPN to restart membership.

        Using this way, you don't need to re-add creditcard and re-verify phone.

    Has anyone ever had the issue of "reaching the limit for card authorisation"? My card is not being accepted, despite previously having been added without any issues (was removed afterwards when I moved to Turkey). I tried adding via secure online form and still getting refused. Im being told to wait a few days and trying again but after three seperate days of attempts, each with 3-4 days in between, it still does not work

    Thanks to all the above OzB’ers who have helped above.

    Successfully managed to just do this, and if anyone is in a similar position to myself, thought this might help.

    First, I already had an Aussie Netflix membership, obviously with card attached (28D).
    I then let this lapse.

    *Before doing the next step, might be worth going to mtcgame.com and signing up. Will give you quicker access to your gift card code, as I never received it via email, but it was there under purchases a short time after purchasing

    Then I went to https://www.mtcgame.com/en-US/netflix/netflix-hediye-karti and bought the 89.99TRY (“75TL” option) cheapest gift card (came out to be something like 98TRY after card fees for MasterCard).

    While I waited for that to be confirmed, I downloaded Urban VPN on the AppStore on my iPad. Installed and tried to select Turkey location, and need to subscribe to use.
    Clicked “1 month” option, then trial for free (was something like $16 after first month).

    Once I was “in Turkey”, checked my mtcgame “my account -> purchased products” (top right corner) and my code had arrive.
    It was literally a dude’s screenshot of a gift card he had bought lol.
    “Show code”, then copied down the “KOD”.

    Went to Netflix in safari (still VPN on) and made sure I was logged in. Didn’t click restart membership, instead went down to the bottom of the page and clicked “gift cards”
    ( https://www.netflix.com/redeem )
    Entered my KOD into this box and clicked Ok.

    It accepted it, and from memory it then proceeded to the “restart membership” page.
    Importantly, the gift card showed, along with my already on file CC.
    (I had been held up on this page when trying to restart without the gift card, even with my CC already on file).

    Picked plan tier, clicked through to the end, and voila! It worked.
    VPN off, AppStore, subscriptions, cancel free 7 day trial subscription.

    Hope this helps someone stuck at the “something wrong with your CC screen”

      Just tried this but it didnt allow me to add it to my existing (expired) account as "it was not a Netflix Turkey account" (it was previously an Argentina account). This surprised me!

      I ended up just making a new account to utilise the Turkey gift card and then going through the webchat to update payment details which was in some ways easier than the actual update payment details page :)

        What do you say to get them to update your CC details?

        When i asked they told me to go away and use a gift card…

      I used Privado VPN which I have a free subscription to.
