I'd grab one but I havent received my delivery for the eufy Cam 2C Security Kit 4 Pack Plus Homebase Unit from the last deal yet

Price matching bing lee. Ebay plus price is $189

    • How? I can get down to 193.03 with PMAR3 code not 189. What code you applied?

      • Think it was plusss1. Now expired

  • Does it ring inside or only call on mobile?

    • from what i read, i believe the home base 2 has chime build in so it will ring when someone press the button

      • That is correct. When you press the door bell button, the chime plays on the home base as well as your phone or iPad.

  • Is this HomeKit compatible, I’m seeing definitely yes and no from different articles, interestingly the no comes before the yes, change of mind?

    • It DEFINITELY IS NOT HOMEKIT COMPATIBLE. There were initial rumours that Eufy would make it compatible but they eventually came out and admitted that it will remain incompatible (for whatever reason).

Source: I’ve owned it for almost 6 months. I like it a lot but really wish it was HomeKit compatible.

    • Homekit support exists for the wifi version (not the Homebase version). Apparently it is on the roadmap. Keep in mind when you use Homekit Secure Video it will absolutely kill the battery life and you must have sufficient storage in your iCloud subscription.

  • I have a eufy home system and am avoiding the battery doorbell.
check out reviews: the battery model has such a huge video delay that visitors are likely to walk away BEFORE your response shows up. I have no idea why most Youtube video reviews gloss over this deal breaking problem.
This is not the case with the wired 2k eufy doorbell, but you know what I'm just waiting for a better version to come out.

I am using the same doorbell for sometime now, but the delay is not significant, yes 3-5 second delay in receiving a notification but if your visitor wants to run in that time then let them run…
Plus on top of that, the video starts capturing before the person actually presses the doorbell and you can enable to get the notification accordingly.

      • hey that's really handy feedback!
In your own experiences, are you happy with the delay? would you recommend it?
Really appreciate the honest feedback, bro.

          Hi,
This has not disappointed me at all. The delay is not significant and as I told before if you want, you can enable notifications if doorbell detects the person before he even presses the doorbell so it pretty much solves the issue.
The only down side is battery life, it's 180 days only on paper and I have to recharge mine once every 45-ish days, which is not bad considering we have a lot of activity detected by family members, sometimes it's irritating. If you have a previous wired doorbell you can hook it up in that one. I'd suggest you get a battery one over wired d because it stills works under power failure, but your home Base would not work so what I have done is installed a UPS for my homebase and router for it to have connectivity even on powerfailure. So far I am happy with this purchase.

    • I gotta put my hand up and say Im a little lost on these Eufy kits. I bought the 2C 4-Cam kit the other week and haven't installed it yet.

From what I can figure out from their very vague site, the wireless doorbells can also be wired into power as well if you have a power feed? You may not know the answer, but as far as you're aware, is it the fact it is running on battery that is the issue, so it is conserving power and giving slow performance? And therefore, using the same device via mains power will mean less delay? Or is there some other difference with the different packages and the one sold as purely "wired" is a better way to go? I have wires already so not really fussed one way or the other, just that the wired one costs more as it seems to include a remote chime which I wont need as apparently the Homebase I already have also acts as a chime.
