The 4ah battery makes this a really good deal imo. Unusual that they bundle that battery.

    brushless?

    • -5

      Read.

      • -3

        Read what?

        • The description on the box? Or wait let us spoonfeed.

No it’s not brushless. Combo kit at $100 and brushless? You’re dreaming

          • -8

@bhunter101: Big night last light? Still affected by alcohol by the looks of your comments.

    • +1

I would say definitely no. If it would then it would be written on the box with big bold text

    • +1

10mm chuck, 35nm drill and 150nm impact driver, i presume it is not brushless

  • Do they do price match between Bunnings? Haha

    • Yes well they always do for me

      • They dont to me somehow. They say it has to be available for sale by other competitor

        • I got a genorator at bunnings friday was $1600
I paid $500 with price match from a nates Bunnings reciept

          • @Dex38313: fk a 1000 bucks discount. pretty good OZbargain mate.

            • @USER DC: $1100 lol but yes I never get knocked back at bunnings

  • +2

Pretty useless post without a photo of the price or invoice

Link is here for those playing at home

    • +2

Link doesn't work, or they have removed it from their website.

      • +1

        Perhaps only works for WA?
        Screenshot here

Bunnings I/N is 0256054 and Ozito Model #PXCDIK-400

        • Bunnings doesn't show it for people in Vic. After changing my store to the WA one in your pscreenshot, it displayed, so probably only not available in Vic. Thanks for the link.

          • +2

@mafim: I purchased the kit at my local Bunnings store here in regional Vic. this morning, same price but it only comes with a 2.5Ah battery instead of the 4Ah.

            Ozito Model #PXCDIK-250

            $99.98

            • @Hithere: Different item number to the one in my link, 250 vs 400, which will be the battery capacity.

          • @mafim: Can confirm link is working for me. Seems like all 5 of my closest bunnings in the northern surburbs of melbourne have stock.

Its a pretty good deal and if i already didnt have 2 drills and an impact driver, i would have seriously considered getting one.

      • In stock in NSW at large Bunnings around my way.

    • Sadly, nothing show up in my local Bunnings.

      • +1

Call them and quote the Item Number

    • Thanks

  • Is this a good drill ?

    • +3

Not really, no. 10mm plastic chuck, low torque, no hammer function….
But I mean the battery and charger is normally $89 so you're paying about $10 for the drill and impact skins.

Can always add on their cheap hammer drill for $50

      • +1

Would you buy the battery and charger for $89? :)

        • +4

That would mean handing in my OzB licence

    • Would really recommend the brushless one for a few reasons if sticking with Ozito. This one has been on special as a kit in the past: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-brushless-hammer-d…

    • +2

I have this kit from couple years ago. Also have ozito brushless hammer and impact kit (picked up after for good price), plus ryobi hammer which is going strong 10 years one and just won’t die.

If you only do a little drilling here and there, not in masonry, and for some easy screwing it is great. Also is a great set to backup a main more heavy duty drill as you can have different bits / drills in each one rather than swapping chucks over and over. The time I had 4 different it’s in 4 drills was a a dream compared to prior. I would not recommend this as your sole / main drill kit if you do anything more than basic down DIY as for a bit more money you will get something that does a lot more and you will have a better time using.

    • +1

I was disappointed by the drill driver at first, it seems slow, but it chewed through hardwood today no trouble.
And I'm in love with the impact driver

      Good enough for my needs

    • I took advantage of a duplicate/same deal on these about 3 years ago. I only use for light duty work and feel at least for my purposes that it is of acceptable/decent quality. Certainly nothing is falling apart or the like.

The functions you can alter do so without a 'cheap' feeling. Wouldn't expect it would suffice or endure for heavy duty usage over the longer term though.

  • +1

It’s a promo item and vic stores have them

  • Anyone got a bunnings product link?

    • Did you read the comments above? Link, item number etc are there

      • OK changed store to Perth and it materializes

        • +2

Should be able to call your local store and use the Item Number if you're looking for stock.
As per a comment above, there is still some of the older 2.5Ah kits getting around, so make sure it's got the 4Ah battery for this price.

  • +1

Just pickup one in local bunning Clayton Vic, plenty there

  • What's the normal price?

    • +1

It's a promotional product so doesn't have a normal price as such.
Last deal was here, same price but smaller battery.

"Normal" price of just the battery and charger is $89 as a guide to the value.

  • +2

Plenty of stock in QLD Oxley store - no promo price, just a standard price as well

Returned my unopened kit with the 2.5Ah Battery and got this one. Got slight looks as if I've done something sus…

    • +1

      Same! Worth it though

    • What is the standard price?

      • +1

        Standard price is $99.98

  • Bought an impact driver for $50 , just 2 weeks back. Would have paid 99 for driver and 4A battery. Drill free.
    Wish I had waited.
Today impact driver + battery is more than this kit

  • Be careful of Bunnings cheap drills. I bought two in recent years, they had little use but the batteries karked it. Went I went back for new batteries they had none for either, nor did anyone else. So I binned a hundred dollars worth of drills. Better to buy mainstream like Makita where batteries are available long term!

    • Bunnings stores I've gone to generally have a fair few Ozito batteries on display. I thought they would've at least allowed you to come back for a replacement when they're back in stock - disappointing if not

      • +1

Also bunnings deliver. So unless they were out of stock nationally, i struggle to understand how they can get away from not honouring their warrenty on batteries.

  • Can you use the impact driver for work on the car? Like a wrench???

    • +1

Impact wrench is a separate skin.

If you are meaning like a torque wrench, no I don't think so.

      • I bought it and will try it out.

  • Can someone recommend some accessories to go with it? Would you recommend https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-56-piece-impact-drilling-a…

    • +2

Ryobi set does the job. Good for home use.

  • Nothing i could find in Syd sad….
