side note - anyone with one of these know how to measure the water temp? i bumped it up using the programming buttons, but measuring the water that comes out the group head or water spout, its reading around 80ish, not the 93-95 needed for espresso.. Not sure if I'm measuring wrong.
Once it hits the outside air temp drops rapidly especially being a drip so that pretty normal
did you measure it after waiting for about 10-15mins to get the group head warmed up? The thermal block inside takes a fairly long time to fully warm up properly.
yeah, I always give it about 30 minutes warm up. I figured that the water temp would decrease once it exits the machine, but when measuring water from a kettle it doesnt seem to drop that much (down to about 97 once in the cup)
