RX 6700 XT Desktop Gaming PC with AMD Ryzen R5-3600/B450 Mortar/16GB RAM/2.5" 480GB SSD/650W PSU $1488 + Delivery @ TechFast

1010
3600-6700XT-MAR

Hi folks,
Launch day for RX 6700 XT. It's a 1440P card with good reviews performance wise, sitting between a 3060 Ti and 3070. Given the supply situation of those two cards, this is one of the few realistic opportunities to get into this tier going around rn. We have limited quantities at launch so be quick. We've chosen the B450M Mortar as a bang for buck option to keep price low as possible while delivering performance. Upgrade options available on most lines.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RX 6700 XT 12GB Gaming PC: $1488 after 3600-6700XT-MAR

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor (if there's interest lmk in comments and I'll add 3700X)
  • AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB (multiple dual fan variants including AMD Reference)
  • MSI B450M Mortar Max motherboard (upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (2x8) (brand/model may vary)
  • 480GB 2.5" SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P650B 80 Plus Bronze PSU
  • Lance-V RGB ATX case

We are planning another 3070 deal once our current orders are finalised, but it can't be anywhere near the $1488 price point of previous deals thanks to insane supplier price jumps.

3070 order updates - we are a few days behind but catching up so expect Intel i5/i7 and 5600X deal systems to continually go out today and large numbers next week.
1660 Supers have been difficult after a distributor did a pretty major dirty on us allocation wise, but there is a bulk dispatch of orders going out today, and we'll continue to ship as we can into next week and beyond.
On both, I know the waiting is hard but hold on to your order if you can, because the prices of the individual cards themselves are almost reaching the total price you paid for the system given how mining demand is affecting supply.

Cheers
Luke

PCPartPicker Part List. All the lower price individual cards seem to have sold out immediately online so I'm not sure how many were actually available, leaving $900+ cards in stock at vendors, so that's the price I've used for the 6700 XT. As always all others are the exact model or the lowest price equivalent found on PCPP only.

    • Hope 6700XT supply holds.

I wonder if Gamers will jump ship to AMD given Nvidia GPUs are in such short supply. Historically over the last few years 80% have favoured Nvidia.

      • Thing is AMD GPU supply is even worse than nvidia

    • Hi Luke, is the deal over? Getting an error on the voucher.

  • +1

Good price mate. Pre build is almost definitely the way to go in this market. Has it ever been this bad?

    • +9

      Never never land

      • -1

ITs been a wild ride since 2010, where everyone in tech knew just how shit value pre-builds were in department stores.

Times have changed and techfast leads. a 4 week wait is worth the savings in this ultra crap tech economy of today Thumbs Up

        • +3

That's if your order arrives within that time frame. Still waiting for my order from 26th Feb…

      • +8

Just for clarity of possible customers… Do you have all these parts in stock or is this another waiting on suppliers situation?

        • We have sufficient cards confirmed inbound for all orders. 6700 XT supply isn't short at launch. We have the option of getting in more allocated to us, but all distributors are enforcing MB, SSD, RAM etc bundling (eg 5 MB to 1 GPU) which doesn't help, so demand would need to be super high to make us pull the trigger on more.

      • Exit light ?

  • Hey Luke,

Just wanted to ask whether the next planned 3070 deal will be AMD or Intel processor?

    • +3

Good question, both will probably come tbh. Supply of AMD 5000 series might be getting a little better maybe? No word on 11th Gen intel just yet but 10th gen CPU prices are better.

      • +1

That's great news, definitely keen on the AMD! I know it might be too early to say, but do you have a very rough timeframe on when this might pop up (e.g. a fortnight? a month?)

        • +4

          Definitely closer to fortnight.

  • +3

Thanks Luke for the update on the previous 3070 deal. Haven't received my PC yet, but highly recommend the customer service so far, Luke has been so great in responding promptly to my messages and requests. Keen to see my build soon.

    • +1

Same boat here but with 3080. Don't mind waiting as long as the communication is transparent, which it has been.

  • +1

Any news on new rtx 3080 stock? Thank you

    • 0 point 0 I'm afraid. We're still awaiting our allocation for the previous deal.

  • I just want the graphics card. :(
I spent time building my PC already, I just want the card. Has it come to this? We have to buy a complete PC to get the graphics card, and then try to sell the leftovers? :-/

    • +5

There is a checkbox at Checkout (new feature) where you can request it Unassembled, if that helps.

    • -1

You can always buy from scalpers and compete with miners.

I waited and waited, then bought that Black Friday Gigabyte RTX 3070. It came with bent pin and I had to refund it. So I waited some more, thinking it was going to get better. Then in January the MSI Gaming X pop up on Kogan for $1,049 and I had lots of Kogan credit so I just went ahead and get it, thinking I would later regret when card price goes down in February/March. Luckily (or unluckily) that didn't happen. Feeling so conflicted.

        • +8

          And your point is…..?

          • +15

@g1: his point is hes proud to be part of the problem.

    • +2

The supply of graphics card is killing the DIY Market. I am on the same ship and still using my RX580. If the cryptocurrency crashes in the future, there will still be a fallout of graphics card used for mining before on the second hand market. .

      • I would never buy used parts, literally no warranty.

I don't think the CC market will ever crash btw.

Buying your own parts is risky, I don't even know if it's cheaper than buying a pre-built? By the time you collect everything other parts have already been discounted again?

        • +1

oh cc will crash but when is the question - who can wait a year or two to get a GPU, when it crashed though……

          • @botchie: People said that about BT 5 years ago, the people who trade it buy'sell and count on that to make profits. It won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. It does suck about the short supply tho, and price increases.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: It won't disappear no, but it will crash , or correct itself , then go up again and so on , it's all just bs now that wall street is invested in it

        • -1

I will add though that there are a few factors in favour of buying a used GPU from a mining rig.

Competent crypto miners usually lower the clock speed anyway to more accurately manage their electricity + thermal costs. There is a bang for buck sweet spot there to maximise profitability.

Therefore it can be viewed as a 1 driver low mileage kind of thing rather than buying a Porsche, which would no doubt be thrashed to hell.

As far as things go, its not a terrible option to look forward to, particularly if it allows you to move up a tier, from say a 3080 => 3090

          Something to consider.

    • +1

      3060 - $850
      3060ti - $1150

you might struggle higher than that.

  • Hey luke - been hanging for your deals on a 3070 and appreciate your comment on the change to pricing from last.
Hard to predict but would you say you might have next 3070 deal in a fortnight (edit just saw new reply above for fortnight) Any idea how much higher we are talking for 3070 build or really can’t say?

I’m not an intel fan boy but would prefer an intel system due to parts mates have that I might be able to sub in and out.. so guess I’m either scrapping that idea or waiting and hoping price ain’t too harsh for your future deals!!

    • +3

Hard to say but it will be closer to $2k than $1.5k if things keep as they are currently.

  • What 1tb NVME brands do you usually source?

Good deal if you need a gaming PC today. Hard time to buy as others have highlighted.

    • Kingston, Lexar and Crucial for the last few batches.

      • Thanks

  • +1

    As always good work Luke!

Surprised anything is available to go from the cards! Good work!

  • -1

Hi, any way to get this in a two 3060 GPU configuration?

    • +15

      Wut

      • +1

i needs more vram for my uni research thesis. thank you for replying.

        • +5

Haha I see, probably beyond our customisation sorry mate.

  • Hey OP do you reckon that build is ok for a 600W PSU?
    Asking for a mate :P

    • Pretty sure the recommended is 550W? 650 Bronze is more than adequate so a decent 600W will be fine.

  • I got a WD Blue ssd with mine ordered 8th Feb

  • Hey Luke,

I'm a little sad I missed out on your previous deal, was waiting until next week to purchase, but you still have some killer deals. Is there any way that we can upgrade this CPU to a Ryzen 7 3700X and even change the GPU out for the RTX 3060 as I prefer that over the RX 6700 XT. If not do you know when a deal like this will come up? Thanks

    • +1

I can add 3700X in but swapping GPU gets tricky due to allocation. We will look into another 3060 deal and it will likely be higher spec than the last one, so stand by.

      • Awesome! Will look again tonight and hopefully order it if I can. Two things, 1) How long will this deal last? (Just in case for some reason can’t order it tonight 2) I’m in South Australia is local pickup an option? Thanks

        • Deal will run a few days at least
Yes, there's a new checkbox at Checkout for Local Pickup!

  • hey luke, perhaps another 3070 + 3900x or 3070 + 5800x productivity build in the near future?

    • Will add it to the list to look at!

  • +5

A big thumbs up to the support at Techfast. I sent in a broken RX 570 from a PC deal about 18 months ago, they offered RMA it or replace it with another brand RX 570 they had in stock there and then so I didn't have to wait. Couldn't ask for more!

    • I have a dying biostar rx580, did you just send them an email?

  • Is the stock cooler enough for this setup?

    • The stock cooler is fine. There's no big OC potential with the CPU anyway and it doesn't run that hot.

  • Damn I was lucky to get the 3060 deal before it expired

    • Yea, I missed out on it unfortunately

      • A competitor's 3060 deal still seems to be running if you're after a well-priced pc with a 3060 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/608016

May want to select the amd ryzen upgrade, particularly if you want wifi anyway

  • Hey Luke, is this still available? Code not working at checkout. :-(

    Cheers mate

  • Hopefully not flogging a dead horse here,,, buuuuut any 3060ti builds coming up in the not so distant future?

    • +1

Lower availability than 3070, highly unlikely in foreseeable future ⛏⛏⛏

    • +6

      Crypto has ruined the world

  • Hi Luke, me again, once again, whats an estimate from the time we purchase to it being shipped? a month?

    • Around the 3-4 week mark, hopefully earlier and we'll be pushing for it as always. 6700 XT not an issue from what we're hearing and it's not a mega mining card either which is ruining supply for other cards. We'll do our best.

  • Copped one, thanks Luke!Looking forward to getting my hands on it

    • Nice one, thanks!

  • Hi Luke,

Any chance for a 3700x option at all on this build?.

    • Yep, I'll add the option in 2 mins.

      • +1

Hey mate any update on the CPU at all?

        • I hope it gets updated over the weekend as I am keen to purchase this deal

        • Added!

      • Can you add 5800x option pls.

        • Added!

  • Hey Luke,
Any option to buy this system without the graphics card? Need a workstation pc. Otherwise open to suggestions.
    Cheers

    • +2

If thats not possible you will have no problem selling off the GPU at retail.

    • +1

There's plenty of people on here who would take the GPU off your hands even just within this discussion.

    • Here's a reasonable, similar no-gpu build (does need a GPU to work but, if not gaming or doing GPU-accelerated calculations, anything from the modern era should work)

      https://www.bpctech.com.au/kp-ss-nogpu1-kraken-power-s-serie…

  • Hey @luketechfast any deals on something lower spec? The neices pc just blew up.

    • There's just not enough stock around!

  • Not bad considering one 3070 costs nearly this much.

  • +1

Hi Luke, is there any deal of ryzen 5800x + 6700XT

    • Also interested in 580/x570 production machine

  • Hi Luke great deal, and a great combination for 1440p Gaming.

Any chance of a smaller non-RGB case? Thanks.

PS: do you think you should be able to offer a 6700XT + Ryzen 5xxx build within the next month or two?

    • +1

No smaller cases available in quantity still, and the card won't fit in the Leaper Air Mini we have. RGB can always be disabled by holding the case lighting button though.

And yep I would say Zen 3 +6700XT should be possible.

There are plenty of cards to draw down on from our allocation, just need to see what demand is like before we fully commit because there is all sort of rubbish we dont need that we have to bundle in our purchase from distributors in order to secure them, which blows the bill out.

      • Thanks Luke. I will keep an eye out for your 6700XT and Ryzen 5xxx build.

Maybe you might have some smaller cases as an upgrade by that time.

        • +1

You can wait but small cases are not really their business model, they're looking for bulk sales.

I'd see what virco offer, hopefully tomorrow. They're more open to customisation and will probably change to any case they have in stock on their website if you email them and pay the difference (assuming the parts fit).

          • @daffyd: That's a good idea mate, thanks mate.

I know that a smaller form factor trumps the 5xxx cpu over the 3600 in my situation.

Far less Aggro from the minister for war and finance if it is smaller 😂.

I will see if Virco offer something a little more compact.

            • +1

@camelthief: I asked virco about a 6700xt deal and this is what they came up with:

              https://www.virco.com.au/collections/desktop-pcs/products/vi…

Lots of nice quality components but, without doing a full price check, doesn't look super-cheap.

Motherboard is matx though so they could probably put it in a smaller case

              • @daffyd: Thanks mate, pretty close to what I am looking for but a few hundred dollars over my budget.

I like the 5600X CPU but was hoping it would hit a price point closer to $1800/-

Maybe they will price it better as a deal next Sunday. The search goes on :-)

  • I just ordered rtx 3600/ryzen 3500 from previous active deal. (not sure is it still active) do you guys think is it worth to upgrade this?
(not sure if possible or not, just thinking)

    • +1

I would upgrade to this but many wouldn't because they want the different features nvidia cards provide.

      • Thanks for your comment. This is my first gaming pc over 10 years so probably rtx3600 will be enough for me for a while. If I get bit serious i might upgrade gpu and/or cpu later.

        • +1

stick with the 3060 I did trust me it's worth it more

  • Hi Luke,
I've been lurking around the comment sections of the deals you posted. I see a lot of people talking about delays on their rtx 3000 series cards. I just want to know if the 6900xt deal that I bought is affected by these delays; in other words will the projected 14 business days be met. Thank you.
