Don't know much about this budget brand but haven't seen too many awful things either. Also I don't know how Linux OS fares. If it's a good deal of picture quality vs price, it might be worth pairing with a Shield/Chromecast etc.

Can vouch for this. I have the 55 inch version, graphics are great and sound is good too. Yeah remote can be improved (range is very short, can’t operate over 6 meters away).
Agreed. Happy with the picture and sound quality, Bought a Chromecast with Google TV to use all other apps.

I went into a jb store to get one of the 55" and the store guy refused to sell it to me haha. He said they had 12 in stock and they were all doa. I was chatting to him about it and just said it was junk, and get a TLC or something a tad more reliable.
Ironic considering they are made by TCL..
I suspect he was just trying to upsell you.

Great tv when you add a chrome cast with google tv
Bought one of these a few weeks ago when they were on special for $599. So far it’s been great. The picture quality is nice and crisp and clear.
Cant speak about the sound as I use a sound bar or the interface as I just have it hooked up to an Xbox and do everything via that.
With instant power on enabled it turns on quickly and the integration with Alexa to turn on and off works well once setup.
Skip these, they are terrible. The best budget brand is EKO from Big-W then TCL and up.
the ANDRIOD smart EKO, yeah for sure! its fast, andriod and 75" for under 1k, well thats just xmas…
I've seen these on FB marketplace for half price and only few months old…. perhaps UI is slow and troublesome. May be ok for the spare games room etc….
