  • After going through a bunch of reviews for my own ryzen ram purchase last night, if you're considering this for a ryzen build you may wish to look at the impact of timings on ryzen performance. 3600 CL16 is considered a sweet spot. My phone reception is too bad to grab references currently.

    • But yes, this is quite cheap for 32gb

    • If you're gaming, fast ram is kinda meh

  • OUCH! Those sure are memory timings, uh-huh, they are….

    https://www.klevv.com/ken/products_details/memory/Klevv_Bolt…

While 3600mhz is the sweet spot for matching your Fabric to your DDR rate, I'd happily sacrifice the 5% or so max performance that a drop to 3200mhz will see, in exchange for CL16 or better…. the TLDR of memory on ryzen, is that speeds affects performance, but latency affects the percentiles.

I'm absolutely about consistency over peak any day.

Anthony from LTT did a great set of tests on ram speeds on Ryzen, and IIRC the most he saw was 8% (going from 2400mhz to 3800mhz); while that's significant; it's not going to "cripple your system" if you're the type to be stuck with slower ram.

    • Hi Mate should go for the Klevv Bolt xr or should i go for this kit from Team T-Force nighthawk rgb at 3200 CL16 almost the same price.

Building my first system with Ryzen 5600X. Won't be doing too much OC just some basic timing tightening and stuff.

      • +1

Can't go wrong with Crucial Ballistix

  • Is this a good ram for the Ryzen 5900x on a MSI Mag x570 Tomahawk board (productivity work, emphasis on stability, not overclocking)?
