Seems like a pretty good budget phone. It has NFC (if mobilecity is truly selling Australia version)

If I was in the market, would be happy to buy (again) from MC. Had an issue with a RenoZ, they swapped it out with no fuss and prepaid Express post return.
That being said, I can't find a C3 in their ebay store :)

So is this the best bang for buck all rounder at the moment in the 150 to 165 price range?

The POCO M3 is around $179 delivered from BG if you want a phone with a massive 6000mah battery and 48 megapixel shooter.

That's a great price. I got an Umidigi A9 Pro for $155 from Umidigi Australia on ebay a few weeks ago. It does all the right things; certainly doesn't have the battery size of the Poco but ~4000mah does a pretty good job for occasional use.

IMO if you pay that much for Poco M3 might as well buy the Oppo A52 when they are on sale for under $200, for Australian warranty and NFC.

There is LG K42 but locked to Vodafone for around $149. It has NFC. I got it unlocked free from Vodafone website. However, some people have different experience.

Can't edit my question but by locally sourced I should have been clearer, I meant from an Australian company.

Honestly these are really great spec for the price, but I just can't stand the horrendous UI skinning all these Chinese manufacturers like to do

3GB RAM is small now, even 4GB is not enough in my experience and I don't play games.

They are $159 from Woolworths if you want an Optus locked version. https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/91604/optu…
