  • I wish if there was Coles mobile Sim there to buy at discounted price

  • +1

lol would've been useful for this if you posted earlier ;)

  • best burner is lebara, charges only $5 to activate

    • +3

      Aldi mobile is $5 too

      • +2

Am I reading this correctly… $5 gets you a 365 days expiry plan with $5 credit?

Is it possible to port in an existing number from another provider to this?

If so, this is exactly what I needed to be able to keep my secondary "burner" number going for the cheapest/longest time possible!

I can confirm yes for Aldi mobile

        • YES to ALDI.

          $5 SIM = 365 days expiry and $5 credit

      • Thanks. I wanted one so I had a burner number that could still receive order updates and provide verification codes when buying online. Now I know where to go.

Just get Telstra or Boost one for $2. They both receive SMS without activation. No point wasting time on this.

This is not a deal. I fell for vodaphone $2 sim before. Minimum extra $10 to port in.

True cost is $12. Go somewhere other than voda.

    • -2

really? I have never heard of charging to port in before.

      • +4

It's not a port in charge, but you need to purchase a service whilst activating. The sim itself comes with $0 credit.. And the cheapest service they offer is like $10 for 7 days (or whatever it was.. can't remember but it was $10 with a piddly duration).

So how do these guys make money?

From a quick look at their website it seems they are using free sim cards as a method to gain traffic to their site to improve search rankings and then hopefully selling one of their normal starter kit sim cards that are overpriced (compared to when they are on special at woolies/coles) for a profit.

"Telsim" also seem to be a big part of their offering and is pretty poor value compared to other plans you can get from Catch/Kogan etc

Probably selling the data you enter for the postage as well

    Hi OP.

I received this SIM from you from through this deal

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/608905

Would you know when do I HAVE to activate it?

    • You must Activate it by 28/March/2021

      • Hi.

I ordered on the 13th March. It was posted on the 16th and I received it on the 18th. On the SIM packaging it's written the SIM has to be activated 30 days after ordered. So for me it should be 13th April 2021 isn't?

        • Correct.

        • +1

Mate, You can activate the sim when ever you want to . No expiry date.
