Reviews pretty poorly as a PC screen. From the few different sites I read, it's really only for die hard PS3 fans who want to play SimulView games (ie 2 people playing on the same screen through 3D glasses, but seeing their own 2D screen on the whole display, so no need for splitscreen).

Fair true, and one hopes these die-hards would also realise a new ps3 is about half that price (in america at least) and most likely a second screen would be handy, far easier way for two full screens to be used without headache effects.

[Dissing the product, not the deal. Thanks allen ^.-]

    • Bear in mind that SimulView requires 2 pairs of glasses, but only 1 pair is included.

  • are these are going out cheap because they are releasing a new 3-D headset things??

    • New headsets or not, I'd hesitate to say these are going cheap. Released at AU$700 (!), I beleive even prosumers would not be getting this at $431.

    Only 24"
    American tv tuner
    Crap PC monitor
    No local warranty
    I will take 2

  • probably not likely but would there be ntsc/pal issues ?

Wouldve been good if the engine was powerful enough to display 2 different inputs. For discrete viewing of pron

The problem would be the audio - if watching two different videos would each one be played at the same time, you'd get confused? or would you both sit in silence?

However it brings in an interesting idea/use for those DVD/Blu rays with multiple angles of the same scene.

..erm this was going to be a witty remark but at some point I think I started taking the technical possibilities too seriously.

Not that discrete. It uses the left eye image for one person and right eye image for the other. However, people with no glasses are going to see some combination of both.

Not sure how that'd look, but The Muppets on one and pron on the other is gunna get freaky deaky.

  • So this works in Australian wall sockets?
