Can also use code 'SSNOW' which doesn't required eBay Plus.

    • +1

is this the one that orders food for me

  • +2

This is a crazy cheap price.

Fridge is on clearance/discontinued as there is a newer model out.

  • +4

Oof $1000 shipping to Tas are they taking the piss lmao

    • +4

They need Camels to transport the fridge over there.

      • +8

        Hope they can swim

        • +1

Make the fridge watertight, strap it to the camel for buoyancy, no worries

        • They take the spirit both ways, mate. Gone are the days when they were forced to swim.

      • Camels can swim?!

        • Camels can swim?!

          Yes

The delivery fees for some locations are hard to explain. For example:

      • Delivery to Cambridge (7170) costs $79.
      • If the delivery truck drives 10km east to Midway Point (7171), delivery would then cost $1000.
      • If the delivery truck continues driving 5km further east to Sorell (7172), delivery would then cost $59.

      ???

    • +2

haha it's also $1000 to me in north NSW.

Side by side is less practical in my opinion as you can't put in large items.

    • +13

For this price I would cut the items in half to fit

    • +1

wouldn't you just simply open… both doors to maneuvre large items?

(edit: I just realised it's left side freezer, so I retract my comment above)

    • +4

I have had a side by side for many years and have never anything so wide that it wouldn't fit.

Personally I find it more convenient having side by side with full height fridge and freezer

      • +13

Nothing like swinging both doors open and having a geeze at the whole fridge at once.

        Then walking away with nothing

        • +1

Walk away with a complaint from the missus for having the doors open too long….

      • Agree with this but as others have said it does require a little tetris/jenga at times. I've never had anything too wide for it.

I got the Westinghouse side by side on the black Friday deal, great fridge but does take a little getting used to. I ended up buying containers and a 3 level plate holder to help organise things better.

  • Great price on an excellent fridge, if you need one now.

Posts a deal for an LG fridge, pretends they don't want a fridge brand war. Nice joke mate

    • agreed

controversial opinion: I'm a Hisense fridge loyalist

      Hisense fridges are #1

      • +4

Anything is okay as long as its not a Samsung.

        • +5

Anything is okay as it is Mitsubishi

      • lol I actually copped a downvote in the fridge brand war of 13/05/25

  • Is it a frost free freezer?

    • +1

      Yes

    • +5

      It's not 1995 anymore

  • +2

I could never buy a fridge without at least a water dispenser anymore (and ideally ice maker)… Just too damn convenient.

  • I am looking for a fridge at the similar price range which is lesser in width, less than 90cm. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

  • Try it in store first. If you close the fridge by holding the vertical middle devision - your fingers will get jammed

Life Loading Screen Tip: Doors are equipped with handles.

  • which one better LG vs Samsung made fridges?

Any other brand that will last at least 15 years?

    • +2

Japanese? Mitsubishi or Hitachi maybe? 7 years on the Mitsubishi so far with zero issues. My Aussie made Westinghouse (Electrolux) is still going strong at 15 years with a new controller. But can’t get those anymore

      • Yes, find a fridge that is made in Japan. Usually has lots of drawers.

        • starting at $3k sadly.

          • @Nalar: or Thai made Japanese brand for a less expensive compromise.

    • My Panasonic fridge is going strong for nearly 13 years. No issue so far and hoping to get many more years of service before it finally gives in.

Had a Samsung broke twice in first 6 months. Their white goods are absolutely rubbish.

LG on the other hand is very reliable from my own experience. Had 2 washing machines and a fridge is which never gave me any trouble. Sold them on Gumtree, in working order, after 7+ years of use.

  • +1

Our last fridge was LG and it lasted 13 years. I could have repaired it but decided to get a new one.

A great fridge at this price.

  • +8

If you have access to a ute, or truck, and want to save heaps of cash, check FB marketplace, plenty of 2nd hand large fridges for sale or even free. People moving and don't want to be bothered moving the large fridges so they list it cheap or give it away.

PS. Do watch for scammers, usually the listings have super bad quality photos (too many reposts and the compression quality is bad) or accounts opened in 2025. Ask the seller to post a pic with a newspaper or something (paper with your name). Proof of life for a fridge, lol

    • FB marketplace in my area is just infested with scams and bots. They've abandoned it(the locals)

As an owner of an LG side by side - avoid.

Not because it's LG, but because of side by side. Just not enough room for trays and larger items and you end up having to play jenga.

The fridge itself hasn't skipped a beat since 2005.

    • +1

You played jenga to unlock a new storage, didn't you? You should teach us these tricks.

    Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!
    Bought 1 month a go for $1500 from JB :| :|

  • Thank you bought one to replace 13 year old LG unit.

  • My side by side LG died yesterday. Just over 3 years old, the fan stopped.

Sending a technician who'll put in a new fan meanwhile I don't have a fridge for 3 days because they don't have the part.

I'd be careful, do some research

  • I have a LG French fridge which has been working well for 13 years. No issues apart from the ice marker basket needed a bit of push and pull every now and then to work.

I prefer a trade in options that you can get with Samsung if you buy direct. At least they take the old fridge away.

personal opinion but I like the French door fridge. most of the time you use the regular fridge compartment and its easy to have everything at eye level to see

  • SA buyers can get the $90 back via the YESS rebate as well

  • Too wide for my fridge opening in my kitchen

  • Is the LG inverter pump still an issue? I know the class action is still going on.

For those in $1000 delivery postcodes (eg me) you can purchase from TGG website, and get $60 off with code DEAL at checkout. Brings it down to $1214 and delivery for me (postcode 4341) was $79. Still a decent deal.
