amazon … as a small company

      🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

  • I saw a deal on Afterpay day for a Switch Lite on eBay at $233.99… was about to post it but realized it might get OzBargained and waited ‘till they actually shipped it… which they did when Afterpay Day ended.
Might have been a historical low I think.

I bought a switch lite during the afterpay sale for $280 ($224 after afterpay 20% discount), $212.80 after 5% discount with ebay gift cards.

    • Which seller?

Wouldnt waste your money on the lites since they are prone to controller drift which will make the entire useless in handheld mode. Cant replace the controller part unlike the normal version. Besides the more powerful switch should be out by end of the year unless it gets delayed some.

Surely drift would be covered by warranty?

      • I mean I'd expect so. Thats if it happens during warranty. You'd probably still have to send it to nintendo either way where your whole system would be wiped no doubt.

      • It is covered.
The left stick on my Switch lite drifted after only 200 hrs of Animal crossing. I contacted customer service and they offered repair. But it's pretty annoying to post it in for repair and it will soon be drifting again after repair. So I did not bother repair. I just gave it a good squeeze of WD40 and solved the issue.

WD40 is a big gamble. If it doesn’t work, I am sure they will say your warranty is void due to “liquid damage” or something.

          • @Blue Cat: Didn't think about that… Good point.
Mine one was already at the end of warranty period when the stick drifted (it's been sitting in the drawer for a while), so I just did it.
            Luckily it worked. :P

            • @aBlue: What is a “reasonable and expected” warranty for a Switch Lite anyways? For a device that costs ~$275, I think it would only be possible to claim 1 year warranty under Australian laws.

Can they just bomb that ship blocking the Suez Chanel . More economically than the costs daily its racking up !

The $229 preorder price was pretty damn delicious then eh.

    • +1

Yeah, the eBay deal, right? I was pretty surprised when it wasn't sold out at the end of the day. The $219 price error at TGG was another story as not available to every store.

  • What’s the difference between this lite and a standard one?

    Waiting for delivery of standard

      Can't play lite on TV

    • No removable joycons/no ability to plugin to TV.

    • +1

Lite is basically PSP of current generation.

  • Worth buying a lite now seeing new switch coming out or will the new one come out and replace dock one and lite will just keep going
