Another great phone going on the $29 cap at Vodafone. No data pack requirements (unlike the GSII deal if you went in store) but a $4 data pack (=700MB extra) means you can actually make use of your new phone.

Starts Thursday online and in store.

(Not a rep, work in a retail store).

batiudrami, if you work for the company, then that makes you a rep. Please see our guidelines here. I'm marking you as a rep.

Fair enough. I just don't want any comments I make elsewhere on the site to be misconstrued as representing Vodafone in any way. There's also no benefit to me in posting these unless one of you guys happens to come into my store and talks to me - I only tend to post Vodafone deals because I can see our pricing bulletins usually before they appear on the public website.

Also, there is an official Vodafone rep who posts here occasionally.

  • Oh Vodafone, you are that desperate indeed?

  • Ok Im tossin up between the sensation xe and xl? What do you guys think?

XE is better in almost every aspect.

Unless you want the massive screen and headphones of the XL

      • +1

Um, XL and XE come with the same earphones? Well at least with Vodafone anyway, but yes, spec wise the XE is better, only advantage the XL has is larger screen and white.

        • +1

Um, XL comes with a different set of Dr. Dre head phones, these are not in ear ones.

edit: Just realized that they have scrapped the other headphones.

        • Yeah, the Beats Solo Headphones edition is a limited one, the standard one comes with the iBeats.

  • tell me when the sgs2 will return to the $29 cap for free

In 2 months at worse. Reckon next month.

      • I hope so, my contract's done by the end of March, if the SGSII isn't at a $29 cap, I will be very annoyed.

  • It's Vodafone. Not worth the pain.

    • x Billion.

They've gotten better. Get a prepaid sim and try for yourself before ruling it out completely

  • still says $49

    • 'Starts Thursday online and in store.'

  • nice !

  • Don't forget the 10% discount for RACQ or auto club members. I asked the other day on the XE deal and they said yes if I took the deal at the time. It's a great dual core phone but it is still the Vodafail network.

  • Bring back the $100 bill credit.

Despite the smaller screen size, the HTC Sensation XE may be a better deal for some people. Resolution is higher, dual-core, 1080p vid recording and better battery life.

    • Yup, +1 - if you go in store and try me both out there's a noticeable difference in speed and picture quality. The XL may have a bigger screen but you can even tell by the oversized app icons that the resolution isn't all that great.

  • big and nice screen
    single core
    cheap beats ear phones

    should I take it?

  • HTC have announced this phone will get an Android 4 "Ice Cream Sandwich" upgrade:

  • Offer now live online :)

mate when can we expect the galaxy s2 free on the $29 cap like u did for christmas? how about a deal for OZbargain? :D

      • The guy is only a employee, he doesn't have control over the deals but I'm sure he would post anything he hears :)

        • i dont think that VodafoneOnline is an employee. I think that account is controlled by a company rep.

        • Woops didn't read the user name, thought it was the poster :)

      • +1 for same question.

Also, in regards to the deal, you're far better off going XE. XL came with the DJ looking headphones, but that deal's done now, and the XE is dual-core.
