  • Alienware has always been a bit overpriced, no? This isn't that great of a deal compared to a few system integrator deals recently

    • +13

I recently got an Alienware aurora with a 3080.

Was $395 more than getting it custom built and it came with a 3 year warranty.

(And no I was never going to build it myself)

Was a no brainer for me

    • Do you recommend any other system integrators worth looking into? TBH only know Dell and Techfast from what's been posted here

      • Virco pretty solid prices

      • BPC tend to have the best value when they release systems. But they dont have as many pre builts as Techfast.

  • How is this value-wise compared to the Alienware R11 deal?

    • Want to know the same

      • +1

That's an easy answer, not worth it. Short of wanting to pay inflated prices a 3080 would not retail for $1000 more than a 3070. Even with slightly better components on the other build here and there which are inconsequential.

  • Is the cooling better in the Alienware towers than the XPS and G5 cases? The YouTube reviews of the latter put me off those models entirely.

  • Is it worthwhile stripping the 5800 and 3070 then reselling it? I have a 3700X and 2060 that I want to upgrade.

  • this deal is back on with PLCT20
