Is there a way I can get 2 Iphone 4 screen protectors for 1c without looking like a cheapskate in front of my friends?

  • Is this only for new accounts. It wont let me purchase.

    • Thanks. I have edited the post

Probably fully worth 1c but thanks for reminding me that I needed to buy a new protector from Brando for my iPhone, they are 10,000 times the price but I hazard to say, 1 million times better :) hmm, now that I think about it, I think 1c for 2 is a pretty good deal.

    • Worldpay gateway isn't working, it passes through to the stupid mastercard protection site then comes back with an error:

      Secure Payment Page
Sorry, there was an error in processing this transaction:
      Error: Payment failed
      Server information 11/Jan/2012 05:26:05 Server ID mg4imsps1p (WPReq-148223)

      Back to Brando.

        Receiving same error..

Anybody not offering Paypal in this age is not serious about business.

Site never works for payment (atleast for me) and no attempt from them to rectify the issue. No issue with my CC.

BS, PayPal charge quite a bit and their terms and conditions are nothing short of criminal. They don't realise that they deal with humans and not everyone is in the same situation, but not for PayPal, they don't care about people's circumstances and their moto is 'shoot first and ask questions later'. In the meantime though, they are screwing people over as they may have their funds help up by PayPal for no good reason. Happened to me and i had to wait for 90 days to get my own money back and of course i got it back because there was no problem there and had PayPal listened, they would have realised there was no problem there.
Furthermore, they've got nothing but morons working for them who only know how to read from the script and if the script doesn't cover a specific scenario, they are utterly useless.
Go ahead and neg me if you want, but it had to be said.

Agree with both of you - PayPal is mighty convenient for the end-user, but when something goes wrong it becomes hell for the seller.

I wonder if anyone has tried using Google Checkout for business instead. Its the only other big name payment gateway AFAIK, and most Android users would already have an account (and possibly a card) tied with them.

I misvoted on this and meant to rate it down.

PayPal is a disgusting corporation and I avoid them at all costs if I can as they froze heaps of my money for 180 days.

PLEASE guys, if you ever get stooged by them, report them to the financial ombudsman as they get fined every-time you do so. ;)

      • Hi, the most common reason for this error is if you try to pay with Mastercard Debit. You can pay with Mastercard Credit and Visa Debit or Credit. This info is in our FAQ. Back to envelope stuffing!

        • Apologies for late reply. I an using a Mastercard Credit card supplied by westpac if this helps.

  • how safe are these guys

    prefer if they had paypal

  • does not feel safe. Wouldn't give this mob my CC details.

If you dont feel safe shopping online you probably shouldn't. Worldpay are one of the most largest credit card merchant providers in the world and our website does not capture your credit card details, all credit card details are processed by worldpay. Thanks for the comments about our prices! we aim to be the the best value in Australia!

        • I received mine yesterday and replaced my old screen protector. I managed to apply it without a single air bubble. Now the phone looks beautiful.
Btw they have sent me two for one cent. So I gifted one of the half cent screen protector to my work mate.

  • i dont like paypal much since they charge to much fees. just used my BOM visa debit card. now just need to make 4 more credit purchases to qualify for the BOM $100 bonus promo. pity woolies wont let you select the credit option on a debit card anymore. what about coles?

  • If you want an awesome screen protector…get this - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SGP-STEINHEIL-ULTRA-CRYSTAL-Scree…

    • Whoah holy eff, $18!

I'm all for paying for quality but… screen protectors are notoriously hard to get on without dust getting between them and the screen. Is it easier to get this one on the phone than the eBay cheapies? I usually have to use 3 or 4 of them before I get a satisfactory result (good thing they're a couple of bucks for a bunch of em).

      • Yep, these are really easy to get on and I ended up with no bubbles whatsoever. When I show mates, they can't believe there's a screen protector on it as you can only notice it when you look around the camera and speaker. It's brilliant. This one is the high gloss finish but you can also get the matte finish if you like that. Just be careful of the Hong Kong ones as I ended up getting a fake one first… http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1830673

Apart from wanting your CC details why are they doing it for 1 cent?

    • The neg vote is there to inform people about deals….. you seem to have used it asking a question

      • Well that's not a question I need an answer on.

        • so why bother asking?

      Its called a P - R - O - M - O - T - I - O - N. :)

  • I bought an iphone 4 screen protector about 6 months ago for 9 cents from awesome bargains which I paid for using paypal.

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/48814

    • I've had no problems with awesome. As far as I am concerned they have earned a little respect.

  • Why is this deal marked as expired? According to the Awesome Bargains website the deal is still active.

I have tried to buy a screen protector using a Mastercard credit card but I keep getting the following error message from the WorldPay website:
