Afterpay has increased its referral bonus from $10 to $30.
Received an email today from them saying that they now have a new app with a card. So you can now use them in store as well as online. I downloaded the app and could see the increased referral bonus. Min $50 purchase is required.
Referrer and Referee receives $30 off next eligible Afterpay purchase of $50 or more. Maximum of 15 referrals per customer.
Please private message a user and ask for their referral link from their app, you will need to use the app to sign up. The links can change so re-check every time someone asks for your link.
Old program was $10 for both so hopefully this bonus is $30 for both…

The referral code does not need to have been earned during the Promotional Period, but must be redeemed during the Promotional Period.
how do we find our referral code though? cannot see it from desktop site though.
so if you had referred someone back in march for $10 and go to make a $50 + purchase between april 1 to june 30 you will get $30 off instead of the $10?
can one close their account and reopen it to qualify for this deal?

It does, but Afterpay stopped approving my orders after 2x $50 Amazon gift cards. Other subsequent Afterpay orders went through OK (e.g. ~$80 Ticketek)

did you find out why, do they consider gift cards a form of credit? only thing in the T&C's that may apply.
How did you get to buy the amazon gift cards? I'm trying to buy a $50 one but i get an error saying afterpay is not allowing me to buy that yet. I created my account one hour ago, so maybe i need to wait 24 hours?

I haven't used mine yet but sounds like it will be deduced equally off your 4 afterpay payments. It wont show at the retailers checkout. My issues is I wanted to buy a gift card with it and im not sure if it will work and seems like there is no way of knowing until you have already bought it.
No, the discount would show before you finalized it showing the discounted price, when it redirects to Afterpay window upon payment. If it doesn't show then u might want to contact their CS

In afterpay if I buy an amazon gift card ($75) and get through the the confirm order it still says $75 so no discount.
If in a retail store and I click confirm order after selecting afterpay as the payment option, will this take me to an afterpay confirm screen that will show the discount?
@bargain0hunter: Yes, it'd show the discount. I don't think it could work on gift card though, that'd be awesome :P
@hanofee: It would be awesome, I did try but it was unable to process the gift card order. And yes to confirm it doesnt show discount on retailer you need to confirm order and log into after pay and it will show discount in there.

They do run a gift card shop in partnership with Prezzee (ironic though, that Prezzee doesn't take Afterpay on their own site).

anyone get an error when trying to add their Australian issued amex ultimate card (upgraded from elevate) saying its a foreign card? called their support they were useless reading terms from their website that only MC and visa cards are accepted when that is incorrect as ive made purchases using my other amex cards already.
Raised a support ticket after my referral link that I sent was clicked to create a new account and the new accounts first order over $50 didn't have any discount applied.

After a long process involving arguments and showing them their own terms and conditions the referee had the discount honored but at the next spend of $50. This also applies to myself the referer at my next spend which I had not yet made. Yet to confirm though as we will both need to make subsequent purchases.
I am going through this whole argument with them and now they want me to confirm the referee’s email address! What a pain in the ass.

But it worked fine on my mum's account.
At the end I've given them my final verdict either they approve the promo code or DELETE MY ACCOUNT.
I dont use afterpay that often honestly. So getting rid of one garbage(FALSE ADVERTISING COMPANY AT LEAST TO ME) is no big deal to me.

Anyone has experienced of being declined and can suggest what to do? I had 2 open order (small, about $100 total) and been declined.
So I thought fine, I paid out both completely, and had no open order anymore. Still being declined both in-store or online. Wrote them email, they said, there's no transaction they could see since 2 weeks ago (doh, can't make transaction if it's being declined all the time :(). My card is definitely fine (debit with enough balance I already used before)
Great way to use this is when Cashrewards or Shopback have an extra cashback bonus promo. When you pay via Afterpay, the referral discount isn't reported in the CR/SB tracking. With the $10 CR bonus for a $30+ spend, I bought something for just over $50, got $30 off with Afterpay and another $10 cashback coming later from CR (oh, and 3% cashback on the $50 purchase too). All up, a little over $10 for an order just over $50.

Its a fake ponzi scheme you wont get any money unless you spend like 60 mins each day like 4 days trying to convince Afterpay to give you discount. I got barely anything as adverstised, referred two family members, 1 Oz bargain Referral system referral - only 1 referral bonus was received (1 Referral $30 paid once [to me, one family member,] and 1 Oz bargain member who used referral link from me, but the person who referred got $0.)
YOU CAN EARN $30 in less than 2 hours at your work, SO DONT BOTHER ABOUT REFFERING OTHERS TO AFTERPAY, AND WASTING YOUR More than 2 hours to break even @ $30.

I tried this several times with friends and they used the unique link to purchase something over $50. They didn’t get $30 and me neither. I contacted them and lots of macking around for nothing. Friends and me contacted them but the conversation lead into nothing.
It’s strange as I got several 30$ of 50$ Purchases. It was all automatic and I didn’t need to follow up. What was their excuse not to give your friends the $30?

Never got my bonus when I've given friend my referral link. She did get her $30.
There's some confusing terms about how it might be capped after so many referrals. Could it be something related to that?
