@goig986: A transgression like that deserves a lynching

    • Out of interest, what staff discount do you get on items like this?

    Oops

  • Great price, similar to the USA MSRP :)!

    • Thanks for the link. I thought I over-analysed my purchases before… Little did I know.

  • 3070 on laptop same performance as rtx2060 on desktop

According to benchmarks, the 3070 mobile is actually around 27% more powerful than the 2060 desktop:

…and around 6-7% faster than the 2070 desktop:

That looks like a terrible website you shouldn't use . They seem to have compounded all the different 3070 mobile variants from 80w to 125 into a single model… They list a variance of speed, so maybe fastest result is 125w, and slowest is 80w, or maybe it isn't

This is 115w model, so better then an 80w

Downvoted for your use of UserBenchmark for the comparison of two graphics cards. Has been repeatedly stated on this site that their comparisons should be taken with a grain of salt at best.

and so should random claims by ozb users but people seem to love throwing around random numbers from nowhere

Desktop stay at home vs laptop anywhere.
    The trade off is fair.

    • As long as you are within 3-5 hours of a power socket.

  • Bought the 2070 version of this last year, had to return it as the bearing in the GPU fan was misaligned. This is apparently really common with Asus products (like multiple Asus Forum pages and Reddit posts common), keep an ear out once you've got it fired up!

  • Couldn't post as a new deal, since the codes seem to flag it as a duplicate, but the same promo codes will get you

  • I know this deal is now expired, but got me interested in looking into gaming laptops (for video editing). Trying to compare the specs is doing my head in. Does this laptop use Nvidia Optimus, can it be disabled, and does plugging in an external display via USB-C to Displayport make this laptop compatible with G-sync/freesync??
