  • These are some pretty good specs. Does anyone know if this phone has any good AOSP-based ROMs?

    • +1

Don't know but here's a good place to start.

    • Typically, custom ROMs start to appear shortly after kernel sources for a device are released by the manufacturer. Knowing Xiaomi, this wouldn't take too long. Then there's the mandatory 1-week wait for a bootloader unlock.

The link above is for the regular Poco X3, not the Pro mentioned in this deal post.
When the forum for development for this device opens up, you'll find a link on this page.

You can still buy the 8GB/256GB version on Aliexpress for ~ $390 incl GST, how is this a deal?

    • +2

It is a deal if someone needs local warranty. I guess most people prefer keeping the $100 in their pockets though.

      • +3

It's not $100, that is the more expensive 8GB/256GB which cost $100 over the base spec model. So that's $200 in the pockets. I'm not sure how good is this store Australian warranty is, it's no JB Hifi nor Mobilecity.

Also most of their stock seems to be grey import, even Samsung ones.

  • Is this store an authorized Australian seller? Their warranty policy indicates that it's not.

In this case you only get a faster shipping over AliExpress.

  • I have recently bought the Poco x3 and now with the release of the x3 Pro and the F3, I don't know what to do.
Is the better performance/specs worth the price and should I consider changing the x3 I have to the x3 pro or f3?
