  • Jeez you'd have to be keen to pay $3800 for a (nice) ultrabook

For $3799 RRP, from a gaming company like Razer, I would expect a dedicated gaming GPU even on a 13.4 inch laptop

Just get the regular Razer Blade 13 in that case. This is for people expecting better battery life

I personally can't recommend these machines.
Just returned my second one to CentreCom on Thursday for a range of issues
    - Bluetooth mouse lag on Logi MX Anywhere 2/2S/3
    - Random screen flickering
    - Would enter deep sleep and never wake up (though fixed in later windows update)
YMMV of course, spec and performance wise, its a great machine, and if not for the above, I would certainly have kept it as its a pleasure to use.

    • How many bluetooth devices have you got connected at the same time? If you got more than 2 devices connected then you some devices with stutter. Like headphones and mouse

Just the one, doesnt make a difference if one or three!

        • oh damn I find BT is hit a miss for laptops

On my dell vostro, when I had headphones, keyboard and Mouse all connected to bluetooth, my headphones will stutter and mouse becomes laggy. I changed my mouse to use wireless and the problem went away.

          • @Homr: Well same mouse all works fine on Surface Pro 7, MBP 13, Intel 11th Gen Nuc so who knows, but as a consumer you can only test and try so much before you run out of patience. Its easy to replicate even directly after a factory rest.

I also returned one I purchased from a similar sale they had a few weeks back.

Main issue was an underclocked CPU out of the box.

Had a few other issues, likely Windows/driver related.

The Book 13 reviews well generally, maybe just some QC issues being their first 'professional' laptop. This was my first Razer product, not sure how the rest of their range is.

Shame really as it's a nice bit of kit otherwise.

edit: the FHD model is also on sale, cheaper than most other retailers, just not as big a discount as this. If you still wanna give one a go, the FHD variant is going to have much better battery life (though less storage). Small note, both display options are the same screens Dell use on their XPS 13.

      • I share the same sentiment

      • Underclocked CPU out of the box might be for heat / power management purposes.

    • I had Bluetooth lag on my yoga 7i likely same issue I had to add some registry settings so Bluetooth didn't go to sleep. Just google yoga mouse Bluetooth lag for the article seems to be effecting all brands

    • The deep sleep bug is extremely common for almost all brands, it is just a driver issue though

    • I think the BT this is more of a Logitech issue. Just on a G903 (have upgraded because of this) and noticed the same thing again

    I don't recommend a 4k screen on a 13"

I struggle with text on my 4k 17" laptop even with scaling

What a boat load of joke these companies fork out to consumers when M1 Macs provide much better performance and value for money.

      OK

Find me a M1 Mac with USB A port and thunderbolt support
