Do note that it's DP 1.2 so the advertised refresh rate is 4K@60Hz and up to 165Hz for anything 2K and under.

Still a good deal regardless for those who don't do gaming at 4K.

I recently bought a DP cable advertised as 8k @60Hz figuring it would do the 2k 165hz I needed . It didn't even do that . It did work on my sons 1080 144hz monitor .
I sent the seller a message that it didn't work as advertised and they replied they would give me a 50% refund . I left a bad review as it was only $14 and I'd rather warn others . Amazon fully refunded the amount without me even contacting them . Obviously there were others that had been scammed and they had stepped in .

  • Can this do 3440x1440 @ 144Hz or should I wait for a good deal on a 1.4?

    • No, 4K@60Hz.

  • I love this cable, it doesn't have that stupid locking teeth.

    • Locking connectors are amazing.. except when you're reaching all the way back behind a screen, trying not to topple over Mum's thousand year vase and framed pictures, covering yourself with dust in the process. 😆

      • Displayport teeth are destructive. HDMI doesn't need them and neither does displayport. As someone who regularly cleans and tinkers with their system, I will never use a displayport cable with locking teeth if I can avoid it.

        • Displayport teeth are destructive.

Isn't that why the locking mechanism is supposed to have a button on the connector? You aren't supposed to yank them and if they have no button then..
There are so many kinds of locking mechanisms on cables. Aren't they there to stop users from accidentally yanking anyway?

@Radiskull: The problem with displayport teeth is that they often take too much force to press all the way down such that the teeth scrape the inside of the port on (on your $1000 GPU) when removing it. Also people don't even realise there is teeth in the first place and if they pull too hard it will rip the pins out of the connector.
