Been looking for a pair of okay speakers for my Xiaomi 34 gaming monitor, which I didn’t know it doesn’t come with speakers at the time of purchase. Wanted to buy this TaoTronic one but didn’t want to pay the $50 RRP as it’d be against our bargain hunter principle. Now pulled trigger for $39.99. Decent product review and hope I’ll get the similar experience when received mine.

I've got one. Pretty average sound tbh…

Agreed. Very average sound, you would be better with a basic Logitech setup imo.

    • Expensive for USB powered speakers. USB powered speakers flood facebook marketplace/gumtree because they sound bad and everyone ends up selling them on to the next sucker, or throws them away to just to end up as landfill.

  • I have one of these but it is very average and not good for me, I would pay little extra and buy a good one.

Horrible. Bought and returned. Avoid….ended up picking up the creative stage instead. much better

    • Which one did you end up getting?

    • How does the creative stage sound without the subwoofer?

  • Bought one 18 months ago, still going strong. Not much bass, but that's exactly what I wanted.

Better off going for a set of Logitech speakers, much better value and sound reproduction.

going for a set of Logitech speakers

Are the better than okay ?

  • Waste of money. If you want a budget option the creative pebble plus 2.1 speakers are vastly superior

  • Also looking for some basic PC speakers around $50.
    Anyone have a recommendation?

  • I've got these for the TV in my room. Very little to no bass, but it does sound better than the TV speakers. Works alright when I crank the volume up, but it doesn't even sound as good as my Google Home mini.

I agree with the others saying a 2.1 Logitech setup is better. In my case, I was low on space, so I just needed a mini sound bar. This fit my needs perfectly.

  • Avoid. Kmart sells a similar sound bar avoid that too. Likely built from the same parts.
