    cocoa unavailable

    • Wow that was quick. It was still available prior to posting this deal.
      I've updated my post.

  • any luck finding a wallet? i'm looking too :)

I'm looking at this one atm: https://rushfaster.com.au/collections/mens-wallets/products/…
Rushfaster has 20% off sitewide which ends in around 2 hours.

I am looking at others but this one ticks most of my boxes; small and slim to fit 6-8 cards and some notes just in case.

$99 seems reasonable for a product that can last many years. My Bellroy is still going strong.

      • thanks :)

thanks op. bought a black one.

I'd really hope this thing could last 30 or 40 years

    • Bellroys quality has dropped dramatically over the past few years. Plenty of reviews of their wallets not lasting very long

      • +1

That's interesting. I've had mine for 8+ years and am looking to switch to a smaller sized one.
Any brands you would recommend of similar price range?

        • I found a handmade wallet made locally on Etsy that I've used for over a year. It's holding up great and the leather has aged quite nicely.

tailfeather makes some nice wallets. mines lasted 5+ years so far.

the leather does need care like any leather

        • I’ve got the Note Sleeve, which I’ve had for about 5-6 years. It’s the recent ones that’s quality has drppped

  • +2

I’ve got one of these, and absolutely love it. Quality is brilliant (like all Bellroy wallets I’ve owned) and it’s as small as it can be while holding a passport.

    • Yeah; I have this one for my passports; got it in a bundle with the slim wallet and key for around 200ish. Even with both my passports in it, it's fairly slim.

  • I have stoped carry my wallet for over 2 years as I pay using my Garmin watch and my phone these days. :)

    • What do you do if a business is cash only? Or cops check for ID/license? Or access pass for work?

      • +1

If a business is cash only and I know I'm going I'll plan to bring cash beforehand. Otherwise I can do a cardless cash withdrawal at Westpac.

I've never been asked for my licence from the cops (yet!)

I bring my access pass on a separate keyring for work.

Wallets have been redundant for the last 2 years, mine hardly ever leaves the house now.

        • Yeah, I'd agree that wallets are a bit of an anachronism in 2021.

I carry one of these that lives in my backpack, which is mainly for transport to work (https://www.davidjones.com/Product/23174617?gclid=Cj0KCQjwsL…)

It's for the rare occasion someone's going to ask for photo ID or Medicare.

I guess some people might still have case uses, especially depending on how digital you've moved with your personal finance. Maybe international travel is another.

    • I only carry my Apple wallet on the back of my phone these days (only for licence and credit card in case I’m in a store having problems with tap and pay for Apple Pay).

For international travel though, my one of these Bellroy passport wallets was always on me.

    • Can you fit your passport inside your watch or phone too?

  • So not worth the price tag.

I find Status Anxiety's stuff to be more reasonably priced.
