For a few dollars more you can get the Pro https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/610567

That's if the code is still valid. Loving the printer so far.

    • What things do you print?

    • Yep that code is still valid but the only thing you really get is the Meanwell branded power supply on the pro.
Creality haven't done to make the pro much of an upgrade either.

you also get the 4040 bottom rail, which adds bed stability and the magnetic build plate. worth the upgrade for those 3 things (including the meanwell)

  • Is there any law against printing and selling minifigures on a small scale?

    • Yes copyright law…

Unless your mini figures do not infringe on other's Intellectual property

    • Lots of modellers have merchant tiers available

  • I got the v2 last Banggood deal. Very happy with it, but it is very fiddly.

Currently working my way through a pokemon chess set https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2369887

    • Nice, do any of the 4 leg Pokemon need supports?

      • +1

I've only done Pokeballs and Jigglypuff.

Had some problems with adhesion initially, now I just use the kid's gluestick before any prints that have minimal contact surface area with the bed. Imagine that would be the go on the legged pokemons. Can google adhesive tricks for other options too though.

  • How's the bed levelling with this model?
The bed levelling put me off with my current 3D printer. Thinking to get back to print again. Any recommendation affordable model with easy or auto-levelling?
    Thank you.

    • I've got 3 of these printers, if you get the removable magnetic bed, you rarely need to relevel your bed unless you change filament type (PLA/ABS needs squish whereas PETG doesn't, etc)

      • With regards to the relevelling, have you got babystepping working on the E3? I have installed custom firmware on my older units which allows it, however on my last 2 units purchased about a month ago they seem to have it built in -
Once the print starts drawing the purge line, doubleclick the scroll wheel and see if you get it, you can move the head up and down in small increments to adjust for different heights - Works a treat

probably more carbon neutral than the energy used to manufacture, ship and power the device youre using to make this pointless comment thats now going to require a server running 24/7 so it stays up on the internet
