    • Good price for JB but not other stores.

    • Pricematch at OW easier.

      • Yer i'll try that but down in Melbourne we don't have WOW so sometimes they pull the we don't match places that far away

i feel so good i got that last deal for $50 :)

Last best price was $49 from LTS … guess it's never to be repeated …

  • Unless they're USB digital speakers I'm not interested. Nothing compares to pure digital audio.

    • Optical does

      • +1

For starters, optical is digital, so it falls under the label of digital audio.

Secondly, a lot of cheap USB/digital speakers would have crappy DACs/Op-amps. In that case, while transmission of the digital signal is fine from source all the way up to the speakers, the audio quality would still be shoddy because of the weakest link at the end. All you save by using USB speakers is potential noise being picked up in the cabling.

      • And how much does a sound card with optical input cost?

  • Are these active speakers not requiring a separate amplifier? What sort of inputs do they take?

  • I saw it cheaper in officeworks, horrible deal

    • Yer i didn't say it was the best deal ever office works are same price any way I just checked and all i am trying to do is tell people where the cheapest ones at the moment are and $77 isn't bad compared to the $150 there back up to on the Logitech site.

      • The Logitech Australia site often lists prices that are 2-3 times the realistic market price. The Logitech US site shows more reasonable prices - currently USD$84.99 for these.

        • Guys the average price has been around the $100 from what we have seen last 6 months. Bing Lee, Big W, JB Hi Fi, OfficeWorks and Dick Smith have been running specials at the moment for around the $70 mark.

I have an set of Logitech LS11 speakers that make so little noise I thought I was temporarily deaf. How do these compare? Do they sound like an asthma sufferer trying to talk after a long run?

    • LS11's should be pretty good, have you called our Support Team to troubleshoot on 1800 025 544 - one of the most common problems is either drivers/sound card software/application being used has volume turned down even though volume control on speaker is turned up.

The Z506's are whole step up from LS11's and our top selling speaker system, we posted the info and review links above in this thread, go check 'em out.

      • I wouldn't expect much for $9 :P It's all good. Sorted out the issue by buying a better set.

  • these speakers get terrible review and is a step down from their predecessor i.e. x530/540. What's more, the small top speakers are fake, they are only molded plastics, shame on Logitech.

    • We've had lots of great reviews on the Z506, check our previous link and they continue to be one of our top sellers.

  • These were indeed $69 at officeworks recently however they have gone back up to $77. Find them cheaper elsewhere and get OW to beat it by 5% :)

  • WHy do the prices go back up? I find it strange that electronic items can vary so much…
