    Guitar -> Guitar lead -> USB Audio interface -> Computer

    You need a VST host for the plugin and an interface to input your guitar audio into.

    A good free VST host is Cantabile Lite if you use Windows.

    You could look at Steinberg UR22 (or UR22C) or TASCAM US-42 for interface if you don't have one. I would buy pre-owned.

      You can also just use the standalone version, no need for the host/DAW.

        Yep, the standalone versions are great for messing around without a daw running. Also has a tuner inbuilt and Midi mapping if you want to get a bit more advanced.

  Oof, super tempting. I've been using Fluff's 5034 from Amped Roots for free for some time which gives a great modern metal tone after a few minutes of tweaking.

  Got my eyes on the Fortin suites here. Thanks OP.
