                The moment I saw the offer (around midnight), I immediately joined Kogan First (trial).
                I also sent an email requesting a cancellation so that I can order the cheaper S5 Max.
                They replied 12 hours later, basically the same message as you got.

                I replied that I did not mind a store credit.

                They replied that they needed a screenshot of the cheaper S5 Max as proof I saw the offer real time.

                I sent them a screenshot.

                They sent an email stating that the accounts department will send me a store credit.

                So far no store credit yet.

                  Reading all the comments looks like i have been lucky to receive S5 Max and also receice the price difference of this deal and amount i paid 601$.

                  Now on hunt to find something else to buy.

    • Will take a fair while to filter to Australia. Auto empty not yet released. Biggest pro is the massive mopping upgrade, and auto transition between mop and carpet. If u carpet only no big reason to upgrade. If got mix or floor boards prob worthwhile waiting, though will be more than twice the price of this deal.

  • I wouldn't be annoyed. The s6 is already out and the deebot t9 aivi too, these are the real next generation machines capable of much better mopping and carpet/hard floor detection.

    Recieved a mail that the Order has been shipped and a tracking number has been provided.

  • Has anyone used this for carpet? If so how does it perform?

    Also, has anyone tried to use the mop feature and carpet vacuum in the same cleaning cycle and had any issues ? Such as it only being efficient enough to mop only or vacuum only or is it fine to be done simultaneously as long you map it correctly prior?

    Received the package.. fast shipping.. but it’s the wrong model.. I got the S6 Pure..

    • I excitedly opened my package this morning and also got the wrong model!! I've since lodged a complaint. I wonder how they'll fix this stuff up.

      • I received mine today. It was the S5 MAX, however i'll need to purchase an AU Figure 8 charge cable and it was shipped with the EU power cable.

        • I received the AU adaptor in the mail a few days later without even asking

    Got the S6 pure. I sent a message to help desk in the morning and received a scripted answer about it being out of stock now and processing a refund or store credit. Told them I didn't want neither but the advertised S5 max. And for tech warehouse to explain why they sent us wrong ones. Not sure if he was a techwarehouse or kogan bot.

    I suspect its a shifty scumbag move to sell something they didn't have and or move old or unwanted S6 pure stock hoping people would just take the inferior vacuum. Absolute joke.

      I've been told to ship back the wrong unit (at no cost to me) and that they'd organise the correct one to be shipped out upon receipt. Annoying to say the least

      • Didnt mention that to me. He was pushing for return and refund/credit because no stock. Again not sure if its just a bot response, might have changed their schtick since. Did they process a returns slip yet? Probably a good wait for shipment from china that will drag on

          I replied asking them to ship me the correct model first before I ship back the s6 pure. We'll see what they say! I think you're on the money that they'll either force us into a refund, or make us wait weeks for their next China shipment

      It's a down grade worth at least $100 less. Mines coming tomorrow, I'm prepared for disappointment…

      I'll send an empty box back and tell them its an upgrade, sorry for the inconvenience.

      • I agree, it's 100% a downgrade, it may be newer but it has a smaller water tank for mopping and less app control and also costs less. I would send it back saying that is not you paid for.

      I knew it. They are pushing you, even bribing you to keep it. Exactly like the last xiaomi scooter deal where the seller said there was "stock problem" and offered to upgrade to a "better" one they had on hand- that many fell for. When in fact many got the original better scooter on time. This scumbag practice should be stamped out.

      They didn't pull that offer on me today because I said I didn't want it from the start. The only upgrade is the higher number of release year. The rest is inferior. Crap mopping. Off to Fair trading/Consumer affairs then.

    so will wait and see which model get's delivered.

  • Hi, this is bad from kogan and the seller… Would be very disappointing to get the wrong model…

    I'm in remote WA and mine was shipped today, so it'll probably be more than a week before I get to know what they've sent..

    Just checked the kogan order history. Doesn't show me the invoice yet for the robot vacuum. But there's an additional item added now for $0 with description Figure 8 Power Cable (Black)..

    Hoping they've sent the right s5 Max… Otherwise it'll be a long time wasted ..

        • I got my order confirmation at 12:02 AM, 11 Apr, so I'm guessing that's when. Auspost was only showing "We got it" until yesterday morning when it suddenly changed to "On board for delivery".

    • Mine was shipped Monday and processed at AusPost facility in VIC yesterday avo.

      Auspost is showing 'expected' today but tracking doesn't show on board for delivery or received in to ADL depot.

      I'll probably receive a 'Lush 2' knowing my luck…

  • I received it this morning and it's the S6, why couldn't they just contact customers and mention they have run out of stock rather then pushing these S6's through. Disappointing as I had ordered Sunday morning.

  • This is exactly why I will never deal with Kogan. I've been waiting for the S5 Max to go under $500. So when i saw this deal for $479, I thought great, sold! And then I realised who was selling it. This company is not worth my time or the aggravation they can cause. They would have to be giving the product away for free to deal with them and even then, I would be apprehensive.

      • Yeah, well done. You need a contingency plan, if you're going to deal with this mob.That's why I've been following the comments on this deal. Just going by past experience, I knew there was a good chance of some shifty stuff happening.

  • What an absolute joke!, they are offering $20 to retain the S6. I am not interested in this at all. If they had run out of stock, should have notified the customer rather then pushing this sub-par product and hoping customer's will accept this. Same drill from Kogan "this is an upgrade model". Also filed a dispute with the CC provider for wrong item received.

      That's right. That's what a normal company would do but you're not dealing with a normal company, that does the right thing. Kogan will do everything in their power to keep your money and make you jump through hoops before reluctantly giving it back.

      Received the S6 Pure too. I have asked for an S5 Max replacement but am not holding my breath. It's a decent price for the S6 Pure, but not what I purchased.

    I literally just received a power cable from kogan today.
    I also checked my invoice in the order history and it just says "Figure 8 Power Cable (Black)"
    My email receipt is actually different from what shows on their website

    What a scam!

      I also received the S6 Pure instead of the S5 Max which is extremely disappointing

    it appears if you are receiving a second package (Figure 8 Power Cable), it's most likely to be the S5 Max.

    Kogan support are being very difficult to deal with and appear to be dodging the questions around sending out the S5.. Has anyone had success in doing a return on the S6 and seeking a refund?

      Weird. My invoice only has the power 8 cable listed and says to contact the seller for anything else.

      Surely the ACCC can jump in as this is a blatant case of false advertising
