IMHO the pottery finish on these Robert Gordon dispensers looks superior to the west elm one, which looks poorly fired at the base. Side by side, I am sure RG's would look a better quality.
It will be a matter of taste as some will prefer the rougher industrial look. My point though is that ceramic soap dispensers are a dime a dozen at this sale price.
Robert Gordon makes beautiful stuff. I have 2 of these at home, a gift from Christmas last year, and they're gorgeous. Often have people asking about them.
I also have a Kmart version, and the different in quality is noticeable.
