    Probably not, I have a router with two WiFi transponders, 2.5 Ghz and 5 Ghz and my month old Chromecast with TV won't run on the 5 Ghz transponder. It connects OK but then basically goes into a wait state . .. 😔😔😔 .. !! I've just queried the issue with Goggle Support, I'll update when and if. .. 🤭🤭🤭 .. !!

      Not fixed but there is a work around. Switched my channel to 40 on the router and it picked it up

      "I changed the channel on my router settings to 40 as recommended by some here and in another thread. and it worked! here's a copy of a post by Jack_ on another thread explaining: "…there is an issue with CCwGTV currently only seeing limited 5ghz wifi channels.
