  • V9 sounds like a Jumbo jet. Is the V11 any quieter?

    • the V11 has the new "7 stage noise reduction" feature, so I assume yes

  • Still prefer a V6.

    • Is that like a G6?

  • Is there anyway just to buy the soft roller head for the V9?

    • +1

      yup, see here

      • Thank you. Damn expensive!

        • +2

I’ll ask the rep see if they can do a sale on it

        • +4

          $20 off with code: softhead20

      • Does this work with the new T20?

        • +1

          nope that’s for v9 and v10 only.

I think the soft roller brush for t20 isn’t available to purchase yet

  • This is a weird one but last week I accidentally threw away the internal Cyclone cylinder (the round plastic/alloy piece in side the dustbin) from my V9, does anyone know where I can get another one cheap? Can't find them anywhere!

  • I also have a “weird one” to ask. I was cleaning out hair from the small wheel on the soft roller head and I lost the wheel. Does anyone know if gearbite can provide spare parts?

    • I just took both of mine or this week, it's so much easier to use now.

  • Waiting for the T20 to go on sale? Any idea when?

    • I'm uneducated on this issue. Based on reading a couple of posts in forums, but isn't the T20 kind of plagued with issues? I may be wrong.
Further, this is worth a watch.

      • Does the Dreame V10 with upgraded carpet head have the same issues on long carpet?

  • +2

I wonder if anyone has any experience with this and the Dyson - the Dyson is so insanely pricey.

say the v11s from both brand compared?

      I did some basic research

      • yeah awesome, thanks for that - i've seen the specs before but it doesn't really mean much to me, hoping to understand any real world differences, if any. like what is 610w vs 450w difference? is it noticable?

I know its rare for anyone to have both..

        • I have the dyson V11 and got my brother a V10. You can definitely feel the difference in suction power, and the motorised head being more powerful definitely helps for deep cleaning carpet.

If you have hard floors, suction power is not quite as important however, just for reference.

          • -2

@Anthropomorphised: Are the dyson V10 and V11 finger free operation aka lock and go or do you need to hold down the trigger for it to continuously operate?

      • Just one point that's not quite right.

V11 Absolute Extra is 218AW, not 185, that was the previous model which was simply V11 Absolute.

When they revised the model to add the removable battery, they boosted the suction from the original 185AW.

        Just for reference :)

nothing for me thought that it was quilt but no its a bloody quilt cover.
for 35 dollars way too overpriced ebay plus tax

    • +2

      wrong post lol

  • Very happy with the V11 we bought last October even though we paid $40 more than this price. Noise level very acceptable.

  • Ordered the V11 :)

  • do we get other heads for V11?

    • +1

Carpet head with new pin when?

    • I don't think gearbite even know. Originally it was meant to be late march, then someone contacted them and now said late April. So I probably wouldn't expect anything at this stage.

    • i would also like to know this … anyone?

  • +1

Can you use the one head across hard floors and carpet? The thing I like about the Dyson is I can do that and it works pretty well. Constantly changing heads is a pain.

    • you can technically use the carpet head on both hard floors and carpet

the t20 has an all-surface brush head which intelligently changes suction power on hard floors and carpet

  • is the carpet head much better for carpet than the soft roller head?

    • yes

  • Would this stack with the $50 voucher for signing up to ebay plus? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/617833

    • unfortunately not, as you can only use 1 code per transaction

  • About to purchase the V11 - I am building a house which will have carpet upstairs - Anyone know when or if the carpet head will be available?

  • I am lazy and cannot follow all the comments re the various heads. I’ve got wooden floors and one rug - will the V11 in this deal do the job for me?

    • yep it has the motorised soft roller brush which is perfect for wooden floors

  • Looking for a good deal on T20 which has replaceable battery!

      • Can get this for under 400 AUD from the US market with delivery. However, I am looking for Aus stock.

        • where can you get it shipped from the USA for 400aud? Other than warranty any reason why you're after AU stock?

          • @reece8: That's one reason. The shipping is complicated too. You will have to use a shop and ship to Aus postal service. The item will be delivered to a nominated US address and it will be re-packed and posted to Australia.

            • @Sathish9: Ahh gotcha. Ping me which service gets it over shipped at $400aussie pls. Ta!

Unsure whether to buy the v11 now or wait for a v11 carpet head combo

    • I'm waiting on the combo. What if it never arrives?

      • Mmm don't know whether to pull the (vacuum) trigger or not

  • In general how long is the average wait time for this to arrive?

    • +1

Mine is arriving today and it's coming from interstate.
      Very fast!

  • Thanks bought V11, should be enough for down stairs tiled floor. While my corded vacuum can do upstairs carpets

  • Received mine today, seems good!

  • okay, pulled the trigger on V11.

  • What is the cheapest cordless vacuum with finger free operation basically don't have to hold down the trigger for it to run.

I was gonna buy the V9 but saw it isn't finger free operation and only the V11 has finger free operation but that is way out of my price range which is aiming for under $200.

Don't need complete bundle just basic cordless vacuum and charger that is it for a mostly carpeted area.

What is the best buy for this criteria?

    • Are you handy at all? Just wire in a toggle switch in parallel to any vacuum.

      • It is for work so preferably trying to keep it as default as much as possible.

Also not really handy that much at all atm.

Just want to buy a simple product and be done with it haha.

        K.I.S.S.

        • If it's for work, surely you can justify $400?

          • @RubenM: If it was for a big site maybe sure but this is going to be only for a few rooms at most and I am one of those types of people that like to see what I can get away with in terms of budget.

Worst case scenario it breaks down or someone misplaces it or I just take it home or resell it.

Best case scenario I only spend $200 and it lasts me my entire time at this establishment and I can put that surplus to other work supplies or the emergency petty cash fund.
