    I got mine today and did the claim online, just waiting for the approval. Just note to my fellow Ozbargainers that the coffee pods expired 31/05/2019 - nearly 2 years ago. So just wait for the claim to be approved, then when you have the Nespresso Account number from them, call the Nespresso 1800 623 033 and make the request, they said they can ship out a replacement once you have the account number.

    • When I talked to online chat, they did mention to call 1800 623 033. When I called, the girl argued that coffee is like wine and never expires. Its just a date for regulation purpose, my work break was nearly done so I just hang up.

      Can they even ask us to consume the goods that are past the best before date?

      • "Best before" is completely different than "used by". Past best before does not mean unsafe.

    • You may be trying to get the cash back for the wrong machine. I had the same problem. Took me a while to realise what I was doing wrong.

  • You have to click redeem for the correct machine. If you click the wrong one
    it will say its not registered for this promotion.
    Just scroll down the page and the other machines will be there.

    For anyone having troubles with the claim by getting an email "Your Nespresso promotion participation is not completed yet" and "Status: On hold - No participating product visible". When submitting your tax invoice from Big W as a PDF make sure it all fits in one page and not multiple pages. I resolved it by printing as PDF on A2 size. It was a bit of a head scratcher but the Nespresso Live Chat representative said it's an automated system that scans for details on the invoice.

    Bought one given it was negative cost. Tossing up if i should even bother using it though.

    We have one of theses we are not using: https://www.sunbeam.com.au/kitchen-and-home/coffee/espresso-… (Need a new milk frother part for it).

    Was tossing up using the new Vertuo with refillable pods but i guess i might as well just use the coffee part of the cafe barista? Would there be any benifit to the vertuo (refillable) over the sunbeam?

    How long did it take for most to get their cash back? I got an approval email last week for my claim but haven’t received the money yet or an email saying the cash back had been processed.

  • It seems like there are some incompetent people running this show. If you still haven't received an email regarding your cashback being processed after a little while, contact Nespresso asap to see what the deal is. When I hit them up, it was only then that I was told that my cashback wasn't processed because my bank account details were incorrect, which wasn't even true. I gave them the same bank details over the phone, so hopefully they'll get it right this time.
