  • How much for capsules?

    • +1

About 90c per capsule but it depends on the range.

Annoyingly there are no third party ones due to the coffee using centrifugal force to extract the coffee, but you can refill your own if you're game

      • but you can refill your own if you're game

If you're 'new' to coffee, take this comment with a grain of salt. If you like playing with ground coffee, get a moka pot or invest in an espresso machine. If you like hassle free (no mess) capsule coffee and don't mind paying Nespresso full price (90c), get this one.
If you want cheaper coffee but do want to use pods, go for the old-school Nespresso machines (the non-Vertuo) and get L'Or pods when they're on sale at Woolies/Coles.

        • get L'Or pods when they're on sale at Woolies/Coles. <- or you could use one of the locally made coffee pod producers, keeping .au people in business/jobs instead of buying pods imported from Europe. urbanbrew subscriptions are pretty good.

          • -1

@su3050: Yes, that would be nice. If only they could make them taste nice - trust me, I’ve tried most of them but they can’t compete with aluminium pods. I do keep several ‘local’ baristas in business though as I only use Nespresso to kick start my day.

        • Yeah i personally gave up refilling coffee pods with this machine

        • Do you reckon L'Or has the best capsule?

          • @wjojff: Yes, after Nespresso's own that is. Also, I've tried most stronger L'Or varieties and only rate the Ristretto blend.

      • Why are third party companies not able to make pods of this style which can suit these machines? Just curious.

        • The pods have a distinct bar code which is read by the machine i believe. That or rights to the pod design, it's annoying to say the least

        • The original Nespresso pods patents expired, so that's why you see third party pods. The new Vertuo (which this machine uses) - the patents don't expire until 2032 or so.

  • Can we use nespresso compatible pod with this machine ?

    • +10

      Vertuo Nespresso pods only. $$s

      • Which machine is the most versatile in terms of variety of pods that it can use?

        • +1

Creatista line is great. I've got a Creatista Plus, and it makes some amazing coffee.
Have tried a fair few different capsules, but I keep going to the Nespresso line.

          • @he11bent: Expensive

            • @jamessong: True, but it's still cheaper than a single cup at the coffee shop and I can get my hit straight away.

        • Any original Nespresso machine. The original Nespresso pods are by far the most varied out of any pod-system out there.

  • Thanks OP. Got one from Big W Midland.

    • +2

oooo same here! Who's gonna get cancelled first :D

  • Clarence Item, shows as only 2 stores in Perth Have Any Stock, no delivery $199 Before Cashback, $119 After Cashback At Hardley Norman

    • I checked Sydney stock and quite a few stores did have stock there

None in Stock in Brisbane, fyi

  • Offer 1:Purchase any Offer 1 Participating Product from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period and receive $100 cash back via redemption from Nespresso (“Cash Back”).

    Or

Offer 2: Purchase any Offer 2 Participating Product from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period and receive $80 cash back via redemption from Nespresso (“Cash Back”).

Am I misreading this as it lists VertuoPlus under Offer 1 as well as Offer 2 in the T&C's

    • Participating Products: Offer 1 Participating Products include the following Nespresso coffee machine ranges:

      Vertuo & Aeroccino3
      Vertuo Next & Aeroccino3
      VertuoPlus & Aeroccino3
Offer 2 Participating Products include the following Nespresso coffee machine ranges:

      Vertuo
      Vertuo Next
      VertuoPlus

      .

    • +2

Offer 1 is specific to purchases bundled with Aeroccino 3. So in this case, only Offer 2 applies.

      • @CamM ah yes that makes much more sense. Durp! Thanks for clarifying for my little brain :D

    • Also

For both Offer 1 and Offer 2, you also have the option to receive $50 off the 1st & 6th month (maximum $50 for 1st month and $50 for 6th month) if you sign up to a Nespresso Coffee Subscription Plan (either $50, $75 or $100 monthly plan) by 11:59pm AEST 1/8/21.

Claimants must receive an email from Nespresso confirming that the Cash Back has been processed before they are eligible to redeem the subscription part of the offer.

Change of plan: You can change your plan type at any time, such as moving from the $50 monthly plan to the $75 monthly plan. However, if you change your plan after the 1st month and before the 6th month, you will not be eligible to receive $50 off the 6th month.

  • Spent 2 mins checking around, the machine is gone from my cart :(

    • Same, trying to get the free shipping

  • -2

Managed to grab one each from 2 different stores. See if my order get cancelled, otherwise Mother Day gifts are sorted.

    Thanks OP.

  • +1

In stock at the Canberra Centre.

    • None left.

  • -2

Think the terms and conditions at nespresso require that the machines be bought in the Promotional Period — 29 and 30 April.

Maybe check that before rushing out to buy.

    • +4

Promotional period is 29th March to 30th May

      • +1

Was just editing my post. Too quick. Obviously just saw the 29 and 30.

    • wouldn't even be worth marketing a promotion that short.

  • manage to nab one in perth hopefully its all good for pick up :) thanks OP

never mind Armadale had a incorrect stock count

Participating Retailers: Retailers who sell Participating Products in Australia and operate from shop fronts in Australia including both the physical shop front and online store operated by such retailers and which display promotional material. Note: Costco is not a Participating Retailer

Is big w confirmed as a participating retailer?

    • the 2nd product has the link on the Big W webiste to the cashback

    • Other machines are showing as part of the cashback offer so I'd say they are participating. Also the below if from T&C's

Participating Retailers: Retailers who sell Participating Products in Australia and operate from shop fronts in Australia including both the physical shop front and online store operated by such retailers and which display promotional material. Note: Costco is not a Participating Retailer.

    • There's no definition of 'promotional material' in the T&Cs, nor indication that it means specifically 'promotional material relating to this specific offer'. It would also be strange to exclude a major retailer like Costco explicitly, and not one like BigW.

  • +2

pods are pricey, they're just as bad as the nescafe dolce gusto ( $1 per pod)

    • Agree, they need some of the standard line machine deals

  • Forgot 4% off big w egift cards oops, then again might’ve gone out of stock by then

  • I'll just copy and paste my comment from the other deal ————-

This is their Vertuo line, you are stuck using their pods only. Not that it's a bad thing, I have a Creatista Plus and prefer the original Nespresso pods.
However, the Vertuo line has been panned left right and centre. Leaking is the main complaints.
The machines just aren't as solidly built as their original line. Get yourself the original line that's been tried and proven.

  • Ohh I thought this was the dolce ones.
I've tried a couple different ones at various stays on my honeymoon.
I really didn't like the Vertuo ones. I don't think it made a nice coffee.

I have a standard Nespresso machine and I'm happy with it.

  • Anyone can recommend reusable pods for use with this machine so that I can use my own coffee?

    • I have a metal one but it's terrible as it has to spin the pod and a metal one can be too heavy and just not spin. I would recommend looking up how to refill your own using a used pod instead (it's relatively straight forward).

    • +1

You can't with these machines. Only Nespresso's more expensive pods.
These pods have a unique bar code on them

      • There are some you can get but i find they don't work as well

        • interesting. I didn't know that.
Before I settled on the Creatista Plus, I spent a couple months researching and found that the Vertuo lined is pretty much hated by everyone that purchased one lol. Glad to see that hate isn't misplaced.

          • @he11bent: I've been side eying the Vertuo for a while because of the larger pods (I own an original nespresso one). I managed to snag one of these so hopefully it rocks up. For the low cost of being paid $10 I'm happy to give it a shot :p

      • Runaway Bay

    • I expect the stock was confirmed before you received the 'ready to collect' notification. I wonder if one of the staff decided they needed it more than you perhaps???

  • Is this only black coffee, or need to buy milk forther separately?

  • +1

    Shows $199 now?

  • I just went do Nespresso Boutique shop at George St in Sydney, and got a machine for just 1 dollar, but you need to do a subscription between $45 to $60 for 12 months which it will be credit back to your Nespresso account so you can buy the pods online with free delivery, you will need to buy minimum of 50 pods monthly and all the money you don't use will accumulate for the next month, so you basically bought a machine for just $1 and they paying you to drink their coffee for free for 12.months… best deal ever. Last till mothers day.

    • "so you basically bought a machine for just $1 and they paying you to drink their coffee for free for 12.months"

I dont see how they are paying you.

Isnt it: pay 12 x $45 =$540 and get $540 to spend on pods?

You are still out $540 at the end of the year.

  • I purchased the red delonghi coffee machine from Big W hallett cove this morning. For $62. (They still had the white one there for $110). Even though it showed up as nil online. For anyone still looking. But I'm having trouble trying to redeem the cash back offer. It just sits on sending but won't go through. Has anyone else had this problem ?

    • +1

I did my cash back offer yesterday and did not encounter any issues. Maybe try another internet browser and see if it works?

      • Thanks finally went through. But I'm wondering if we will actually get the $80 cash back considering it only cost $62 for the machine it will be interesting to see if they still approve the cash back.

        • +1

That's great! Yup it will indeed be interesting to find out if they will approve the cashback but I think they should as the promo applies to Big W store. I will let you know if mine get approved.

          • +1

@Woodstock117: Big Dub gonna have a lot of Coffee Machine returns if they don't :D

  • I got a confirmation email from Nespresso saying "Your Cash Back will be made available to you after your claim has been approved"
    Will keep you posted.
