  • Wow! nearly as cheap as the Allphones deal with the 200$ voucher haha

    • +1

Still have my active voucher - haven't decided on what to get yet. Found the Nexus to be too big. Also lacking the SD Card slot. Why did they do that?

      • Nexus S didn't have ext SD card either.

      • +1

I have a feeling allphones won't be putting any decent phones in their outright list until that voucher expires. Aside from the nexus which is too big, none of the other phones are worth it even with the $200 voucher.

        • Yeah same… I'm still plugging away on my HTC Desire which still does the job.

        • +2

I agree. Went through a lot of crap getting the $200 voucher verified, with Allphones trying every trick in the book to get out of the deal, only to find that there are no phones available in online store. Dirty tactics like these will surely backfire on Allphones.

      • All the phones listed are crap especially when looking the price range. Huawei Vision is $269 but i dont want that one. Funny how the next closest price after this one is $440. I wouldn't be surpised if they wait till the end of Feb before they update that list.

Anyone yet to redeem their valid voucher click on this link. www.allphones.com.au/shop/all_amazing.asp

      • Do you think we could use the voucher to get a phone on a plan as opposed to buying it outright?

      • I got the nexus from Allphones, ordered at tuesday lunch time, arrived wednesday 9am. Aus stock, great service, with $200 it falls into great price from Oz supplier. The phone is fricken awesome and actually feels smaller than my iphone 3GS because of how thin it is, highly highly recommend this phone

      • +1

Same here. Was nearly read to pull the trigger on the Nexus, but that lack of expansion, lack of FB sync and woeful external speaker have put me off somewhat.

  • are they grey imports?

    • +3

I suppose if it says: "Due to CNY holiday, the item will be dispatched on 1 week of Feb. 2012". Don't think we get Chinese New Year holidays in OZ…

    lol shippingsquare

  • Best phone ever!

  • +4

    Shipping almost $60! Joking, surely…

    • Well if it's $60 it probably means it's not being sent from Australia

  • +4

i dont trust Shopping square. The other day they had $30 vouchers on the Galaxy S2. When i looked at the price of shipping i noticed they had increased it from $29 to $59 from the day before.

  • -1

yeah I agree where are the big screen 42 - 46" led TV deals on oz bargain. Come on!

  • OP should know that shipping from SS is very expensive. and being that expensive doesn't make this a bargain

  • Shopping Square shipping is just mental.

  • I dont get this. Shipping from Hong Kong is very cheap. EMS is like $30 and thats express. Otherwise $5 for a phone this size. How do you think people like dealxtreme operate.

    • That's how they make extra money

  • The cheapest price for Galaxy Nexus I have seen even the SS is exxy.

  • Kogan is $589.00 + $19 shipping (to postcode 4000) = $608.00

So this SS 'deal' beats kogan by 10c. Not a bargain.

    • +2

      shippingsquare = kogan = dodgy

    • +5

It's still a bargain, as RRP is between $700 to $800.

A saving of over $100 is a bargain.

Everyday people will consider this a bargain.

To cheap people like Salem, who spends his days eyeing every post, it may not seem like a bargain, but don't flame on a user just because it's 10c more than another post you saw. You need to be kinder to the community & contributors.

      Brightboyfree, thanks for your contribution.

& as for johndoe123, they offer 1 year warranty, just like Telstra, just like Optus, just like JB-HiFi. No one is forcing you to buy them from those sites… Your opinion is not relevant in this page's context, nor is it constructive.

      • +2

Australian Galaxy Nexus you buy from Australian carries/retailers comes with 2 year warranty.

I thought this was a community site. I'm part of this community. If I, personally, don't think it's a deal, and have a reason, I can put a neg. If other people think it is a good deal, they put a +ve. Then, across everyone who votes, you get an overall feel for how good a deal this is. My opinion is perfectly relevant.

I certainly am in favour of people posting what they think is a good deal for people to vote on. I don't put a neg on to say 'lol n00b nevva post here ur deal suxx0rz'. I post a neg (and I do it very very rarely), because I think it's not a good deal. As part of the whole communal point of this site.

        • +1

Additional evidence of this being a fairly standard price at this point in time, $607 at DWI with free shipping using the code that pops up in your face when you go to checkout ('LIKEDWI')
          http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/product.asp?idProd…

Sure, a month ago this would have been a deal. But not any more.

        • +3

          Cool story bro

          Overused catchphrase, bro.

        • Then, across everyone who votes, you get an overall feel for how good a deal this is

but you don't….. cos after a couple of negs it disappears from the main page…… then nobody sees it

    • +2

      It's got good hardware.

    • Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I find the thick black slab look (e.g. SGS2, iPhone) ugly, and love the curves on the GNex.

guys … if u can wait … until next month new phones are going to be announced at MWC '12 .. so the prices will fall drastically / im hooked on to galaxy note right now … just waiting for the announcements to be made.

    • +1

GALAXY NOTE is a beast you wont regret :P

      • I heard that battery life was a problem…

        • I get a day and a half out of mine compared to iPhone 3GS I had previously that only got about a day. I am very happy with it. The screen is awesome(resolution and clarity).

        • +1

Don't compare 3GS with SGNote. It's way different

    • IMHO if u really like the note, then u should probably get it. There is always something new in the horizon with the world taking such big steps in technology. Even if you get your new announced phone next year, you will feel it is old and outdated within 6 months.

That's at least the case with me (with my iPhone, Laptop, TV, Camera, etc.). If its diff with others then I apologize for posting this post :)

  • +4

I still remember how long I had to wait for Galaxy S2. Will never buy from Shipping Square again.

    • How long?

      • 2 months

        • -1

It was worth the wait. Cheapest SGS2 by a mile at the time.

        • 2 months. Thats too long.
          and how much cheaper though?

  • +2

Take about 30 days to arrive…no no no…to ss
