    So cheap with NFC

    Price matching Target

  • +13

Because it's red, it's actually faster than the other colours

  • +5

    Ah that micro usb port..

    • +2

      Thanks, added to the description.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, bought it

  • Any chance of it being dual sim?

    • +2

Prepaid phones are never dual sim.

      • Sad. Kinda thought so. Thanks

      • Why single/dual sim has something to do with pre/post-paid?

        • +3

They sell pre-paid phones at a loss, in the hope they make the money back later. If you're using another provider, they're not going to make their money back.

          • @Thrifty McGifty: But the phone is locked to the carrier, meaning any money spent on second sim goes to the locked carrier. Defies logic to not sell them purely based on that logic.

Would make sense if device wasn't locked; but they're locked.

            • @MorriJ: Give it a bit more of a twist and you might get closer lol.

      • Apparently on some phones dual sim can be enabled by switching to different region, but it's not a trivial procedure.

    • +1

Can confirm, the one purchased I from Target has a dual Sim holder as well as micro SD 👍🏽

      • Hey Mate, Is that dual sim functional?
Doesn't make sense of that dual sim tray as phone is locked to Optus but a dual sim unless someone wants Optus or Optus's 3rd party onsellers networks into same phone.

        • I have two Telstra numbers, one for work and one for personal. Having two numbers from the same provider still makes sense to me.

        • +1

I'd be able to let you know when I can figure out a cheaper way (then $80) to unlock the phone :C

          • @Roemac: On the Optus Website itself they say

            Unlock free after

            1. You spend $80 on the service with the phone or pay them $80(best to just get the $80 spend on sim in this case).
            2. After 6 months pay them $25. Until then keep using the coles/catch/amaysim/dodo/etc mobile sim in it, and put the original sim aside
        • Can someone with Optus Locked Realme C3 please kindly confirm if their sim 2 is usable, because mine is not even with optus sim it is not usable.

          • +1

@USER DC: Found in the t&c right down the bottom

"Network Compatibility: Handset has been modified to be optimised for the Optus network and performance on other networks is not guaranteed. Handset has also been modified to have its dual SIM capability removed and it is a single SIM device. Please refer to the Specifications section for specific network compatibility."

              @chadiwrx: Thank you for this.

I thought mine was a wrong unit or something

  • Any place to find cheap unlock code?

    • +2

I was a click away to buy this then I asked myself. Do I need this? Answer is No. Then I got this question. Is it locked? Oh… no… and yes. I didn't buy it. I am going to buy Samsung A72 with free ear buz instead. Upgrade from cracked screen phone Not downgrade. Finally I escaped from a ozbargain deal. lol

      • Was in same boat lol, not worth it just cause it's cheap and no other reason

  • How much to unlock?

    • Optus.com.au/unlock

  • On back-order now:

    11 May - 2 June

  • +1

Any idea if these would work on Optus's 3rd party onsellers networks? i.e catch

PS. Feedback on Amazon says it does - much thanks.

    • I've got a locked Optus prepaid phone - works on catch no problems - never even put the optus sim that comes with it.

    • I have never seen an optus prepaid not work with places like amaysim. Tried several and organised several for other people.

  • Seems it can't be backordered? I add it to my cart but it doesn't go to my cart?

  • All gone :(

Posting the link to Frozen Blue $149.00 in case it drops to $75.00 as well.

Also both colours are $75.00 @ Target.

    • +1

      Available on back-order again.

    • +1

The blue one is available now for $75

      • Cool thanks, did you buy one? Updated the post.

        • +1

Yes thanks, I bought one from the target deal.

  • Thanks got one from Target

  • I don't suppose this has a removable battery and can take custom firmware (LineageOS or similar)? That's a lot of features for the money, but today's phones are nearly always lacking where it matters.

Looks like this can be turned into a 7/11 chopper

Here for the comments about the processor being too slow, or the camera not being as good as an iphone.

  • wow. that is cheap. I thought I got a bargain when I paid $119 two months ago.

    • Are you happy with yours?

  • not sure if this actually works. I don't have the phone.

I tried and it requires filling out surveys etc. where you can never actually get an unlock code.

  • +1

Thanks WatchNerd, bought one from Target. Now to find a cheap unlock.

    • I just got this phone unlocked thru Optus chat.

      • Do you have an account with Optus?

  • Frozen blue now $75.00, deal has been updated.

  • My order for the Blazing Red went from delivering today to 'Arriving May 11 - Jun 3'

  • And mine, have just chatted with them to find out this;

I see the item is temporarily out of stock.
because of which the order isn't shipped yet.
We didn't expect this to happen.
I'm afraid to inform you that we are unsure when the item will be back into stock.

  • Can I use Optus Prepad SIM (not a recharge voucher) with total value of $80 to top up my plan so I'm eligible for free unlock?

    Unlock free after
    1. You spend $80 on the service with the phone or pay them $80(best to just get the $80 spend on sim in this case).
    2. After 6 months pay them $25. Until then keep using the coles/catch/amaysim/dodo/etc mobile sim in it, and put the original sim aside
