  • Should be noted that it is valued at $3,499.00 on acers website and on sale for $2,449.00
And there is no coupons/promotions on the website btw.

  • Do we know what 3070 you get?

  • Disregard this message there's no useful information.
    Just found this https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/964186/
someone asking about the spec on acers forum.

  • Very good, could be better if 32gb ram

  • +1

Kinda lame video but it gives you a look inside the case and at the rtx 3070
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27zQG_Suo98

    • The card sort of looks like the founders edition in the video

      • +1

That is DEFINITELY not the founder's edition.

But honestly? I see it. The cooler design as seen from the top is definitely reminiscent. It's just the side profile that is not.

  • Nice price, I found this last week, but ended up to buy an alienware R12 at slightly higher price.

    • Could you provide the link for the R12?

  • It's probably fine, but I do think 500w is skimping a bit.

  • The case seems small and like it'll get hot, especially with the GPU almost touching the power supply.

Specs for the price though, are good.

    • lol wow? that's small to you?

      • I'm no expert but always read in guides for building that you should have as much distance between the graphics card and power supply as possible, no?

        • yes thats true but the case as a whole looks very big to me. I'm a big fan of SFF cases due to more space efficient

  • It’s unfortunate that Companies are using PSUs that are not up to Nvidia’s minimum recommendations. Are these 3070 cards a lower spec?

    • Keep in mind Nvidia's recommendation is for absolute worst case. Since the 3070 draws max 220W and the CPU another 200W, it should be fine (just)

      • That’s true. Plus this isn’t exactly OC’able to any real degree.

In the current market, this is pricing the GPU and labour at around $1600.

Avoid, as prices have already improved, and will continue to improve due to more mining nerfed GPUs (moving casual miners to the used market), crypto corrections, and mining demand for GPUs to drop even faster than this as ETH ASICs appear again.

January 2018 wants their comment back.

      • Antminer just announced a usable ASIC, as good as 32x 3080, likely for under $20,000. Not sure why that's not relevant to current situation, unless you're playing for internet points.

NVIDIA also appear to be planning to reissue their entire line-up with new SKUs that come with an ETH reduction similar to the 3060, and they'll even be reissuing the 3060 for this purpose.

Oh and Crypto just dived 20% in like 2 weeks because the ultra-rich and institutional investors discovered that their scamming of everyday people into thinking this stuff is trustworthy as a commodity might see them cop capital gains taxes.

2008 just called for you, they wanted to know if your memory is that short, or if your Bitcoin options are.

        • Honestly i'm waiting to see if the 3070ti and 3080ti rumored release in the next 2 months do anything to help with prices

          • @Vegge: They won't as the 3080Ti looks like it will be $999 USD pre-tax, but fingers crossed it's closer to $800.

The real change comes with the new SKUs for the already released models, complete with ETH limiter.

  • theres also a 3060Ti version for couple of hundred less (less storage also) $2159

  • Is this bet better than the dell xps 8940

    • Personally I think this is better, Case airlow,3070,keyboard+mouse,gaming bundle, slightly better resell value.

Dell will have better warranty, probably better psu

I think there will be better deals on premade's so if you can wait I'd do it.
