  • Hey Budget PC

is the Ragnarök Kingpin Gaming Build going to be an AMD 3080 build as discussed in the previous post?

    • +2

      Oh Hi, Blackburrito,

No, it's actually an EVGA 3090 KINGPIN flagship build.

We've delayed the release of our new 3080 system because we can't secure the stock from our supplier due to the shortage of this model.

      Regards
      BPC Customer Service

      • Thanks

Please update us when the 3080 build is out but might by the 3090 if its worth

        • Not a problem :)

  • Thanks, ordered. My existing PC had accumulated too many cobwebs.

    • No worries XD

  • If anyone doesn’t want their ‘bonus’ in Melbourne let me know.

  • +2

What is your refund policy? For example, if I were to pre-order now but cancel my order before the 14th of May, will I be charged a restocking fee or anything like that?
    Thanks

    • Also wondering.

    • +1

Hi Winston, you are welcomed to refund or transfer to store credit anytime before 14th of May, there will be no restocking fee apply.

      • Could you please extend the promo? I would be willing to buy straight away.

        • -2

          Hi Winston,

I am sorry to hear you missed the gift pack, but unfortunately, we won't extend that. I

Please do follow our social media, next time if we have a great deal like this, I will post the info on FB/Twitter in advance.

  • +3

Is there a guaranteed shipping date?

The reason I ask is because my dad purchased a pc from TechFast on 15th of March, was told it would be finished by early April, it still wasn't shipped by 9th of April, we enquired about it and they didnt even have the parts for the pc so we cancelled the order; they still haven't refunded the money; don't really want to deal with a dodgy company like them again and tbh I wish we had read the reviews online before ordering.

    • +1

      Hi, Onlyletters,

The GPU will be allocated to us by Mid May.

Therefore we expect to start shipping from May 19th.

you should receive the build before June if you live in Mel/Syd Metro.

You are welcomed to cancel or transfer to store credit any time before May 14th.

      Regards

      • Hi. I have been notified recently my build still hasn't started building after I emailed. Can you help me?

  • +2

A lot of people interested in a "second wave" of bonus pack, any chance you can add some more?

  • I have already bought this :), but just want to confirm if it has return to base warranty, and if so how long? It's hard to find info on this on the website.

    • +2

      Hi Kalo,

We offer 2 years warranty for our gaming system.

      Regards
      BPC Customer Service

  • Sorry to ask this but I already ordered and paid but didn’t receive any email. Do I have to wait for sometime?

    • +1

Check your spam folder, mine was also stuck in the spam folder

      • +1

Yeah found mine. Thank you so much.

  • If someone ordered and changed they're mind let me know. Thank you

  • BTW our flagship Ragnarök Kingpin Gaming Build is coming this week

    How's this coming along?

  • +1

Wow! What a deal, look forward to the next one.. hopefully I don’t miss out on it!

  • Any danger of a Ryzen 3rd gen system or 11th gen intel / 3070 with these quality parts around this price point?

  • When is the next system deal coming out? Thanks. Looking forward to buying a pc from you guys

  • +1

FYI to anyone who has ordered - The GPUS being used in ALL builds are Low Hash Rate, meaning you can mine probably about half of what you normally could.

    • how did u get this info?

      • +3

Look on their website, it says (LHR) next to the GPU. Someone i know messaged their sales team and they confirmed all units will have LHR GPUs because that is what got shipped to them (they didn't know this when they put the deal up).

        • +1

Good catch. Might cancel in this case, will check with them

          • @Johnny L: Let me know how you go!

            • +1

@ShimShiminy: Yep, confirmed. Cancelling order now

              • @Johnny L: Absolute nightmare. What are you considering ordering instead?

                • @carra23: Nothing atm, my machine is still running well, I can wait for another deal…

                  • @Johnny L: Ah fair play.

I've picked the worst time possible to buy my first PC!

I'm thinking about just keeping this one after waiting so long, but I don't want to reward this shady business

        • +2

This is just abbbbbbbs outright ridic on their behalf not to at least notify their buyers.

          • +3

@Yellow Alpaca: 100% just saw they have changed description on their website.

Deal says: RTX 3070 8GB Graphic Card (Asus/Gigabyte/EVGA)

Website now says: RTX 3070 LHR 8GB Graphics

            https://www.bpctech.com.au/kp-ps-biforstrtx3070-krakenpower-…

Just emailed them asking and got a reply within 2 minutes saying they will just cancel. Gutted as I cancelled my 3080 Alienware order for this.

            • @cc23: So shattering, very dissapointed

              • +1

@ShimShiminy: Yeah me too :( had literally made space for it on my desk.

            • +1

@cc23: Yeah, dodgy to say the least. All of their builds on their website show as RTX3070 are all in fact LHR 3070's which is concerning its not clearly outlined.

              • @Yellow Alpaca: I dont mind a LHR card, messaged saying i'll buy at original promo price - told me the cancelled orders were at full price, not promo price.

    • +1

Damn, how did you find this out? Was literally getting excited to pick up :(

      • Was on their site getting excited just like you, saw the LHR and then got told it was on all systems. Far from ideal to say the least

    • +2

This is my first desktop. Coming from laptop. I will mostly use for gaming, browsing the net, everyday tasks. Should I be concerned with this? Will it affect anything else besides mining?

      • +1

Nothing at all apart from mining and resale value of the GPU/system down the line. 2k all of a sudden doesn't look like a bargain

        • Deal says: RTX 3070 8GB Graphic Card (Asus/Gigabyte/EVGA)

I just did a quick search and saw that only Galax released the LHR cards, does that mean that they are using Galax instead of what is mentioned in the deal?

          • @JMokha: Not sure man, all i know is they said that all systems will have LHR gpus in them (significantly effecting the price of the GPU in the market i might add!)

            • +1

              @ShimShiminy: Got mine, it isn't LHR… glad I didn't cancel.

              • @cc23: How'd you check?

                • +2

@Alaken: Just tried mining for a minute, seems very unprofitable anyway at the moment.

              • @cc23: That's fantastic bro 😁
Which one did you get after all?

    • +1

      This has ruined my day.

    • +1

I'm not even sure that they are 100% sure these are all LHR, I can't find any info on this. I think they are just keen to cancel out orders. My plan is I may continue with the order, sell the card on FB Marketplace and then buy a new one without a restriction. Could even buy a 3080 depending on how much I get. Surely there is potential to unlock these cards down the line?

      • +3

I kind of agree with you, I emailed them in the morning and asked "I hope that the card being used are from these brands only i.e. Asus/Gigabyte/EVGA as it was one of the reasons I went with this deal"

        And the reply was:
It will be from the below brands for the build.

I did check online and only Galax was the one which has officially launched the LHR cards, so I guess they're still not sure if the cards are LHR cards.

        • +4

I am going ahead with my order, worst case scenario, I have a great gaming PC at a solid price in these times.

          • +3

@cc23: I'm also going ahead with my order as my priority was gaming only. 😁

        • I called them today.

Again they said Asus/Gigabyte/EVGA, and they should be ready for pickup sometime next week.

Bit confusing as someone above claimed they said it will be LHR GPUs, but as you say, GALAX are the only LHR GPUs at the moment?

Tentatively keeping my order for now, will check it when I'm there.

          • @carra23: I tried to look if there are any LHR GPU's released by the manufacturers and could only see Galax as the one who has officially released their cards, it is written that other manufacturers will follow suit but there is no word on Asus/Gigabyte/EVGA if they have launched it or not.

            https://m.hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/147782-first-geforce-…

Also, I read in another article that these are aimed to ship by May 2021 and should be in the hand of customers by June 2021.

"NVIDIA is expecting GA1XX-xx2 chips to start shipping in the middle of May, which means that first customers may receive their cards in June."

            • @JMokha: Exactly. It's all very strange.

Especially considering the guy above said they confirmed they are LHR ones, but it's seems too early for them to have them? And especially from those brands.

Guess we will find out next week!

              • @carra23: The information that the cards are LHR are provided to them by their supplier, let's see we'll get to know next week.

                • +2

@JMokha: Looking forward to seeing all you nerds checking the serial with me next week!

  • Hi guys, just curious about the LHR card, will it affect gaming performance at all?

  • any suggestion if I should cancel my order? my concern is this still a bargain with LHR card?
got a feeling in the future(next few months) have a lower price VGA and cheaper system?

    • +2

Your username speaks to your constant battle…

      • +1

It is still a bargain, for the performance you will get and the quality parts used you won't find much better imo

  • +3

I'm still happy with this deal. Quality components, GPU can always be swapped out if you want to mine and at this price its basically at MRP.

Do we know when these will start to ship? I'm excited to game again! Its been 10 years + so I feel like ill be pleasantly surprised with graphics nowadays.

    • +2

I got an email saying its been shipped. So should have it by tomorrow or Wednesday

      • Nice!

      • Did you get a part list of what is in yours?

        • Nope, Just had the order number, courier, numbe of boxes and tracking number

    • +6

I picked mine up a few hours ago. Got an EVGA 3 fan GPU and Western Digital NVME SSD

      • Nice im hoping for EVGA! WD SSD, great value.. can you tell if the GPU is Hash rate limited?

        • How do I check?

          • +1

@zxh2o: I'm actually not sure, I think you can look up the serial number. Although after a quick google it looks like you can bypass the limiter anyway.

      • Wow. I’d love an evga card!

  • thx guys, i'll keep this then since I don't have any plan todo mining

  • +2

i got an msi card if anyone is wondering and seagate nvme

    • Is windows installed on the ssd or did you have to get your own?

      • +2

Windows was installed on my SSD, just boot and ready to go.

        • Did you get the bonus pack with the free keyboard and windows?

          • @cc23: Yeah got the bonus EVGA keyboard and mouse. Also got a 1tb 2.5" seagate hdd installed which I just found hidden at the bottom hard drive bay.

            • @zxh2o: Wow you got lucky haha. Did you add a 1tb in your order or was the ssd just default

              • @Alaken: First few buyers got an additional 1tb HDD.
Have you recieved yours yet Alaken?

              • @Alaken: I just ordered the default without the HDD

                • @zxh2o: I mean the system, let us know what GPU/SSD you end up with.

      • They have just confirmed Windows won't be installed unless you got the 'bonus pack'

    • Interesting so they really aren’t consistent then? Yeah I’m also interested in the windows thing wondering whether I need to set up a USB ready to go.

    • +1

That's strange as the deal says Asus/Gigabyte/EVGA.
Did they give you a 2 fan or 3 fan card?

      • Yeah that is odd. I’m just hoping they swap out the i9 for a monster ryzen!

        • +1

          Haha, would love that 😋

Also, pretty strange on the SSD brand too as they did mention that they'll use WD or Samsung.

    • Did you pick up or have delivered?

  • Hey guys, I can't remember whats the bonus, is it EVGA keyboard and mouse, Windows and 1TB HDD?
I thought its just the keyboard, mouse and windows? will pick it up this week and want to make sure got all the bonus :)

    • +1

It depends how quick you were. The bonus was keyboard, mouse and windows. But some lucky people who were super quick also got a 1tb hdd. I just missed out on the hdd but got the other bonus items.

      • hmm… is there any way to check before picking up the PC?

        • +1

You could email them, it won't show up in any order receipt

  • +1

Is there any pc experts here that can explain if this is normal for the gpu to sag like this? First time owning a pc coming from laptop. So not really sure how it suppose to look lol

    https://imgur.com/a/3UqAaAE

    • Nice one on the EVGA. I have heard of GPU sagging but thats usually after long periods of time due to its weight. I would say yours was unfortunately damaged due to rough handling in shipping. You should be able to send back for replacement if you want but it'll take a while and it's such a bummer. It might work fine though!

      • Thanks for the response. Could you show how your build looks if you can?
