First Bargain.

Just a print, no frame. Originally thought this included the frame and print stretched over the frame, however fellow ozbargainers have found otherwise. We can now confirm that this is only the canvas print, no frame is included.

  • erm link?

  • Orders will not be accepted before: 24th January 2012 ???

    • Yea seems like they want you to buy the print, once the deal expires they will accept orders.

  • This is a good price……for the size……they usually only this sort of 'scoopon; offer for the panarama size

  • Has anyone bought a canvas from these guys before? I've never heard of em is all.

  • I'm just going to rant.. why in the world can I get a canvas art PRINTED for $50 but not have a cloth picture I have mounted on the same sort of frame for that? Everyone wants $300+…

Almost tempted to get a deal like this just for the wooden frame amd stretch and staple it myself.

    • I would recommend doing that, as long as it is the size you want. I got some canvas prints from snapfish before christmas and the frame is much much better than the smaller one I paid $200+ for done by the framer…and I really don't think stretching is that hard.

      • "I really don't think <…> is that hard."

        famous last words

depends whether you want your thing to warp after a year due to uneven stretching.

    • I paid $120 for a 1.2 metre x 30cm canvas painting to be stretched & mounted, if you are located in Perth try Arts Edge in Joondalup.

  • It also will not come with a frame, the canvas will be wrapped over the inner frame.

I'm confused, does it come with a frame or not? Couldn't see anything on the ourdeal or clevergadgets pages that mention anything about frames…

    • I'll admit I'm mostly speculating, just trying to offer some guidance. From previous experience they just stretch the canvas over a wooden inner frame similar to this image from scoopon.

      http://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/7726/image

In my experience that is the standard canvas printing.

Does anyone know what type of DPI / resolution these things print out at?

  • +1

No framing or mounting it seems!

    • giving them a call now to confirm this

      • Cheers Reubzy,
I got an email just after I ordered it. I posted it above cos I could work out how to delete this post!

        • Yea, just waiting on a call back, I assume it is like most other canvas prints where they stretch the canvas over an inner wooden frame, are you saying this is not the case? You just receive a rolled up piece of canvas?

  • +3

Just got an email which contained - "Please note that the Canvas Print does not come stretched/mounted or framed. Your Huge 75cm x 1 Metre Personalised Canvas Print will be delivered to you rolled in a phototube."

  • I don't know if they added this piece later, but it says "Canvas is delivered rolled up in a phototube (not stretched and mounted)" on the front page now. Maybe someone can check if that's something they slipped in later?

Just got an email offering a full refund as people are obvously expecting it to be stretched on a frame, so thumbs up for that customer service.

    • +1

Yea sorry guys I honestly assumed that it would be on a frame, epic fail on my behalf. At least they are offering a refund, I've never seen a print that comes in a roll before!

      • +1

Not really your fault. I have never seen it like that before either!
Oh well backing to waiting for the next deal!

  • Well I still ordered a few, I wonder what the quality is like though :o

  • Sounds like a good deal but stretching will set you back $100+ unless you DIY. I'd suggest it is actually cheaper to buy a printed canvas including stretching elsewhere (provided you shop around).

Can the OP clear up "It also will not come with a frame, the canvas will be wrapped over the inner frame."
As our fellow ozbargainers have pointed out, it does not come with a frame - or even an inner frame.

Wow, another bungle from OurDeal…glad I hesitated from buying after being weary from the Seagate offer…
