pretty beasty for a laptop! for price point too!

  • https://www.amazon.com.au/Acer-Nitro-AN515-55-74GB-Gaming-NH… overheating?
crappier GPU on amazon, more money, claims only 8 hour run time, bit of a brick too.

    Better?

      Only 2060 and more $

  • And no Outriders.

  • Interesting mining option ;)

  • Max TDP for this laptop's GPU is 80w, which means the 3060 isn't nearly as grunty as it can be.

So is the GPU for this model 80w or 115w?

  • Would the other Acer Nitro HN have on special be suitable for entry/mid level gaming?

I am looking at games like Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2 etc

    • RTX 2060? Yes definitely. Mid-level+

      • Is there a recommended way to check to see if a particular laptop/desktop would be suitable for certain games. I am a PC noob so all the specs don't mean much to me, I just need to know what to look for.

        • Check out the game's recommended specs, compare with the laptop specs :)

        • I find www.notebookcheck.net very useful for checking performance

Got 2 - one for each kid. When they're not using them they're mining - getting 35MH/s for Ethereum :D Possibly pay-back in < 1 year.
