  Moto really does hit the nail in the head for a standard user.

  I'm sure some people will complain about the 720p display, but I've seen many (if not all) of Moto's 720p phones IRL, and the LCD quality is extremely good.
  If you A-to-B it, yeah you can pick the difference, but just using the darn thing? Nope.

  Also saves you data on netflix and youtube defaulting to 720p :P

    Ive got my note 9 screen reso defaulted to 720p . Dont need the higher reso and i save on battery life

          @overpriced: Do you know which list it uses to block ads? There's quite a few of the "ad free" youtube viewers that still play ads…
          It's why I usually don't use dedicated apps; uBlock Origin and NoScript usually lets nothing through.

            @MasterScythe: NewPipe you mean? It doesn't block ads. It has none to begin with. All apps on f-droid.org are the complete opposite to the Play Store. The Play Store is infested with adware and trackware. F-droid = complete opposite. To prove this to yourself you can download this app: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.oF2pks.classyshark3xodus…

            Again because it's from f-droid.org there is no nasty business going on. No adware or trackers.

              @overpriced: No, not the app, Youtube normally has ads in\on\before\during it's videos.

              And yes, as a user of AOSP Roms I'm quite familiar with f-droid.
              I just don't see how an 'extra app' for a website is more convenient than just staying in the 1 app I'm probably already in, to have found the link in the first place, is all.

                @MasterScythe: Oh right. Ads in the videos. All I know is I never get them.

                I like NewPipe because I always use the download functionality. I hardly ever stream. if you do stream you can stream at your desired quality level and have it streaming in the background too, if you like. You can subscribe to channels you love without signing in to YouTube, etc.

                Both decent choices.
                I have never used the official YouTube app, so I don't know what it has or hasn't. Downloading is my main thing.

                  @overpriced: Yeah the browser can play in the background too.
                  I do download, but never on my mobile; That's for my server rack to do. I just throw URL's into the download list and it'll archive them for me.
                  Subscribing sounds interesting, but I use RSS feeds to alert me when sites change.

                  The app sounds great, but it sounds like it's just another program to do things I already do is all.

                  I'll keep it in mind for my TV installation and such though; its getting old and lightweight apps are required.

          @Seven8Nine: By all means if don't like or suits, can return within 30 days I think.

          Amazon warranty or returns is pretty exceptional so far per my experience.

          Regarding the return, buyer sends at the own expense and amazon refunds it.

          Always have a chat or email confirmation of the process before you initiate the return.

          Having said, it's been good experience always when any issues arises with any product sold by Amazon AU or US.

    Cost and not destroying the market for their own products that do have it. Most vendors are the same. They won't tick all the boxes on their cheaper models so that there's more of an incentive to buy the more expensive ones.

    If you know anyone who works at a bank; the main use of NFC is payments.
    And statistics show the number of people who use it, compared to the customer base is miniscule.

    While others might have another reason to want NFC, I can see why they cut costs; deal breaker for a few, but I'd certainly argue not the majority.
    For example; my mate has his card inside his phone case for paywave.
