  So it's going to cost me at least $80 for the prescription…

  This has now increased my anxiety…

  It says its only free for 90 days with the prescription model monitored by your GP.
  also, your GP has to be an absolute twat if they are going to charge for you asking about a mental health plan. i would enquire whether or not they're gonna charge you for it.

    They are not charity workers. It's their profession.

    Ours charges around $80 for a basic consultation, around $130-$150 for a longer one… Medibank gives back stuff all…

      in the multiple GPs i have seen to organise a mental health care plan i have not been charged for those sessions. for other things, yes, but not for mental health.

          @flopsy: Agree, was at two local gps last week and noticed that mental health plans are classed as a long appointment at both of them

      No? It was free for a period during the initial COVID lockdowns. Was $59 before that, now $59 without a referral.

  Use a spare email and prescribe yourself to another email if you don't want to involve your GP. This is a great resource for people who need it, sometimes you can feel lost and don't know where to start. Highly recommend.
