  • Friendly reminder that the OnePlus phones have no official water resistance rating. Very nice phone otherwise.
Also no Band-28 on this version, which is a deal-breaker for some.

Not entirely true. OP8 Pro has an IP68 rating, as does the Verizon OP8 and T-Mobile OP9.

Most likely the carrier paid the certification charge and OnePlus haven't to keep costs at a minimum.

      • Didn't know that, thanks.

  • Same price for the green one

  • +2

Keep in mind the deal you linked (I'm the OP) was for the OP8 not 8T - unless you're meaning the becextech one mentioned in comments (which I'd avoid that store)

    • Yes, thanks for mentioning this.

  • be aware no support for VoLTE in Australia so you'll be left with a non calling phone after 3g is decomissioned in two years or so. I used to own one..

edit: I could be wrong, it looks like Telstra have whitelisted the Oneplus 8 Pro, so maybe they do support VoLTE.. it certainly didnt seem to be the case 4 months ago when I owned one though

  • Sounds like quite a process - thanks for sharing

  • CN version does not have the Play Store installed out of the box either I believe.

  • Does anyone still consider Oneplus "flagship killer"?

    • Yes. Only OnePlus though.
