Hot Cooked Chicken Schnitzel $1.10ea @ Woolworths (Selected Stores, Excludes WA)

220

Usually $2.20. Raw ones are also $1.10. Essentially a giant chicken nugget. Slightly cheaper (and half the size) than the Bavarian schnitzel, but BYO sides.

Receipt is for four. Heaps left. Check your local woolies if they do hot food.

Note there are no more Loacker 50c wafers at Macq park, however there are the 95c ones.

Pic is serving suggestion only ;) I used Parma sauce, aussie cheddar and garden basil.

    It's a nationwide special - $1.10 1/2 price

Just like when the Kiev's are half price, the cooked versions are also.

    • Epic!! Thx pp

All good, note that these are normally $2.20 and the full size heart shaped are normally $3.30 :)

        • I much prefer these over the heart shaped ones, or at the very least the crumbing cooks better in a air fryer for me.

          • @maskedmustelid: These ones to me are good, but they're basically the same as in the bulk pack which is cheaper.

I find if I cut the heart shaped schnitzels in half before I cook (pan fry) they're a lot more successful.

Assuming these are just minced up mystery meats like the Kiev's?

    • Wishful thinking…

Oh…..I thought it came from Woolies looking like the photo!

+1 For eating a Chicken Parma with a Splade!

TIL splade. I thought it was an excavator bucket 😅

  • Got 4. They're small and $1.10 is probably what it's worth

    • Yeah I think so! Wouldn't pay $2.20. It's good it's cooked though, less effort is what made it worth it for me.

  • OP you need a new fork!

    • Lol why!

      • Fork it! Splade it away.

        • This is Oz and Bargain! The Australian forkspoonkinfe combo, what could be better!

  • It's been a regular half price every now and then. The size is not big tho. Good for a sandwich. The taste is good if you pan fried it properly.
