      Fully aware hot air rises but did not know reversing ceiling fan direction to push it back down was a thing.

        It's on most ceiling fans. It's a small switch on the housing unit for older ones

    If you have your heater on in the house, stand on a step ladder near the ceiling, the room is hot near the ceiling now get off that ladder and feel how much cooler it is, now imagine if you moved that hot air near the ceiling around the room
