[Backorder] Gaming PC w R5-5600X, RTX 3070 8GB, MSI B550 MB, 16GB 3200MHz RAM, 256GB NVME, 650W PSU: $2198 + Delivery @ TechFast

5600X-3070-MAY

Hi folks,

We're doing our best to keep prices as low as possible comparative to what's out there at present. I think this stands up against the current Dell deal, given how well the 5600X games with the 3070 versus their 5800 deal and at a much lower entry pricepoint, and getting the 3070 over the 3060 Ti for around the same price point as their 3060 Ti deal, albeit higher storage. I think most people are starting to notice the price jumps now they've started feeding through to retailers and the majors.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | RTX 3070 8GB Gaming PC: $2198 after 5600X-3070-MAY

  • Ryzen 5 5600X 6c/12t processor
  • RTX 3070 8GB (likely Galax, 2-fan)
  • MSI B550M Bazooka MB
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (2x8; brand/model may vary)
  • 256GB NVME m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P650B 650W 80 Plus Bronze PSU

Shipping in June; our current estimate is 14-21 business days. Quantities for this deal are strictly limited.
Cheers
Luke

Looks good Luke, except the PSU seems to be a tad on the budget/weak contender side? Is that the PSU that Ozb says catches on fire?

    • +2

Thanks - the PSU is one we've used since they've launched and are perfect for the 3070. I haven't seen any references to them catching fire and we've used 1000s with very low overall fault rates, comparable to any others out there.

      • I see. I believe this is in the techfast build my girlfriend's brother bought awhile ago, I think his only has a 1660 though. Good to hear it's not the combustible model. Actually, coming into winter a fireplace at home sounds alright hey.

The one you're referring to is the P750GM.

        Ah okay cheers

    • Definitely not a good PSU. I got this deal back with a different CPU for $1500 and it failed to boot when I was swapping GPU’s around (I wanted the 3070 in another computer).
As soon as I put in one of my own PSU’s (a Thermaltake 600w) it worked fine.
Don’t think I’ll risk putting this PSU in anything.

      • Do you know anyone without a heater for their home? Maybe donate it to them haha!

    • The psu i got from them bottlenecks my gpu

Here's the PCPP comparison, as always using the lowest price for the exact component on the site or lowest priced equivalent. Manually entered $1349 for the 3070 which seems to be rarer and rarer in available stock. PCPartPicker Part List

Hi Luke, I ordered a previous deal with the B550M Aorus Elite motherboard, having a look around at reviews they all say this board runs extremely hot and would not be very compatible with a Ryzen 9 processor (which was ordered), would it be possible for me to swap this motherboard into my build? Thanks

We'll see if we can work something out for you - please email [email protected] with the details.

Any links to reviews? Only one I saw was hardwareunboxed video of VRM roundups of value B series boards here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuPH9pCCK-E

It seems to hand a R9 3900X at sustained loads without hassle, middle of the pack basically. Will get hot with an overclock (as they all do), but I wouldn't be overclocking a R9 on a mid range b550 board anyway.

  • This or alienware 3070 deal

Remember, all GALAX cards are hash limited now

    • These LHR cards were used on the recent BPC deal as well which I didn't get.

I would've thought LHR cards would be much cheaper due to lower resale value ?

I'm holding out for a Ryzen/3080 deal. Hoping for EOFY!

      • BPC used EVGA GPUs. They said they were LHR but I haven't found anything confirming this, doesn't seem like EVGA even do LHR GPUs yet?

        • I was also wondering if any of the EVGA cards used are LHRs? any way to confirm?

    • I don't think hash limiting is much a problem, at least not across the board, which is a shame ><

      https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-cryptocurrency-minin…

    • What does hash limiting refer to?

1500 dollar arsecrusher Gaming OC Triple Fan 3070 rig hums in background ;)

    • It’s $200-$300 more expensive every time it’s posted now haha.

It really isn’t a good deal at this price. (Only reason it would remotely qualify is because it’s out of stock or insanely inflated everywhere). People who get mad at OzInstock GPU’s should also get mad at this too in my opinion.

I was going to get a second one unassembled just to build a computer, but gpu prices are straight up unreasonable right now.

  • Hey Luke, any GPU options? Would like an MSI card so I can have the MSI Case, Mobo and GPU.

    • Not at this stage - we're still working on supply specifics with manufacturers. You could check in along the way as we definitely will get cards like Gaming X Trio and Suprims allocated to us each week, albeit at higher pricepoints.

      • Yeah fair on the price point, just the 5600x deal is much more attractive than the 3600 with the exception of GPU model options for vanity haha

  • Hey Luke, are there any updates on stock availability for the 6700 XT systems? Thanks

    • +1

I actually ordered their 6700xt system yesterday. I think it is still a good "deal" considering it's performance is about 12% lower than 3070 but the cost is a lot less and has not increased in price like the 3070's have done in the last 2-3 weeks.

    • Hi Sax, we're getting small quantities in each week, a bit similar to higher end RTX 3000 series cards, so we're making progress through weekly until the larger shipment comes to clear a large number at once.

  • Any plans of no GPU budget system deals any time soon?

Can we pay upgrade for different brand 3070 (MSI or Gigabyte)?
