Enjoyed this game on release, huge fan of paper Mario games. Definitely worth buying at this price imo.

The Theatre/Swan Lake part was classic!

      100% agree

    • How does the combat compare with Thousand Year Door? That one was the last Paper Mario I enjoyed.

      • Nothing competes with thousand year door, that's definitely the pinnacle of paper Mario.

  • Haven't verified.

Cheap, daughter and I loving this game.

  • How long does this take to complete? I don't like games that have overly long campaigns.

  • Thanks op, got one from Amazon.

To be fair its market place. You can also pick things up free or get things that are broken on purchase .

But yes to be fair doesn't seem like a good comparison

Look I get your point but at the same time if i can find something second hand(and even new) on marketplace or gumtree for close to a sale price then I'm personally not gonna buy it at the same price. To me that just doesnt seem like I'm getting a steal. But hey each to their own. Not like people arent going to buy it cause of what I said. Just making a comparison and yes i kinda think it is fair. Not like I'm comparing it to a completely different game. Same game, maybe used, maybe new. But still same item.

    • Pre owned tho I bet for that price

      • Woah.. no love for marketplace here…lol. not like this will be a collectible title at any point so not sure why having it sealed (assuming it even comes sealed) is a big deal. Bought many switch games off marketplace and all have worked fine.

Your comment only further justify why this a good deal. $39 brand new delivered vs $40 used pickup? If you choose the later, you must be high on weed. Have no mistake, I buy a lot of things on used marketplace but never at brand new price (unless I'm high on weed)

      • Fair enough. Each to own. Dont see picking g up as a big issue myself but my point was that if its pretty easy to find for 40 odd chances are it can be found cheaper. Anyway I can see I'm the minority on this opinion so will peace out on that.

  • Thanks Op got one

I see Nintendo first party Mario game on current gen console for under $40. I buy. At the very least it won’t be worthless in the future and I can assume it’s probably not too bad a game either.

  • Not my favourite in the series but definitely worth it at that price, has a great sense of humour and some awesome music.

I've never played a Paper Mario game before. Is this purely a standalone experience? Or would I be best off playing another first?

    • +3

      Entirely standalone.

        Thanks.

  • Edit 11pm: Amazon Sold Out.

Just checked now, looks like it's still in stock?

Picked one up earlier on though, thanks OP.

Thanks, looks like it's available again. Probably a sign it will sell out soon though.

  • fun sandbox game and overall pleasant game but battles and bosses are a bit tedious

  • +1

I really enjoyed this game and would strongly recommend at $39

Amazing amazing amazing game! Lots of charm, fantastic graphics and very beautiful environments, many different stages and a challenging battle system! It’s like the classic paper Mario with new elements! 4/5

  • Great game!!

  • +1

Gonna get this a shot given how many here seem to like it.

  • +2

Dont forget to claim Nintendo gold points when u get this!

  • WOW still in stock

    • Yeah, I'm incredibly surprised as well.

    • +1

The game isn't that popular I guess

      • This is my guess too

        • Still in stock on 23/5. How odd.
